He’s really neat looking. I love his sharp markings, makes him look almost tribal.
drgnlvr wrote:If you paid for him by paypal, you can file a dispute with them, and you can negotiate the cost of the repairs with the seller and paypal will back you up. It’s worth a try, even if it takes a little while longer. Sellers shouldn’t be able to get by with stuff like that, especially when you gave them specific instructions and they didn’t follow them! Paypal really will back you up. Then you can send it to Kyrin and you both win. π
I thought about doing that, but I honestly don’t want to deal with the headache of all of that right now. If I had bought a big item and paid a lot more and it arrived in that condition I would have definetly pursued repair costs. The fact is, I actually got him at a really decent price and I know I can fix him pretty easily π .
Wow, he’s really cool looking!
Thanks for your understanding and tips guys…Kyrin actually offered to fix him for free! π― The offer was GREATLY appreciated, but because I can’t even really afford shipping costs right now, I called her to get some pointers on how to fix my poor little turtle. The rubs on him are not too big and I’m sure I can fix him up no problem. Burnt umber is actually the color Kyrin suggested, watered down to some degree and then covered in a satin sealent. I actually have that color in the Golden brand paints already, the trick is to find it. I’m still unpacking my art supplies from my move! Considering how he was packed, I’m lucky all he had was rub marks π― Thanks again guys!
After scrimping and saving for a chance to get one I finally won a hatching turtle on ebay last week. But dispite my suggestion to the seller, the item was packed in one tiny, little box without even a shread of bubble wrap and he arrived damaged πΏ . Thankfuly, he didn’t break, bit he has rub marks all over his head and leg. I need a few pointers on how to fix him. I’m not sure what color paint to use on him.
This would’nt get me so upset if I was’nt so damn poor right now π !October 3, 2008 at 3:45 am in reply to: DRAGON87 PYO's – Green Cheeked Conure Phoenix, pics soon! #698621kitsunelady wrote:How aboug Singe? XD He looks singed to me, hehe. I really like him!
I agree. The way he’s painted makes that name very fitting π . Nicely done.
Hopefully they will make enough for everybody, but remember, once they get settled they should be able to make more when they do sell-out π . I hope they ironed out all of the problems with the Keeper mold, and we won’t have to wait so long for new batches to come out. I have at least six ideas brewing in my head, but I have no way of affording six Keepers at once π― .
Yep, that’s what happened. Astral’s only had the ‘one’ white Spectral.

October 2, 2008 at 5:28 pm in reply to: Report Windstone Fakes/Knock offs/Infringment Pls read first #708515This is true. I just thought it looked quite similar. I don’t really know if it is an infringement, I just happen to come across it and thought I post it and get a second opinion π

YAAAAYYYYYY!!!!! I can’t wait π .
Money is only as good as what you spend it on. As long your not denying yourself of ‘essentials’ I say go for it GB π .
That’s cool. I know all about debt to. I just bought a house, so I’ll be in the red for about, let’s say. 20 to thirty years π …
I would have to very hard pressed to give up any of my Windstones to pay off unexpected expenses. I don’t have very many but the ones I do have are quite preciuos to me.By the way, your bike has the same name has my cat, kinda, sorta. His proper name is The Beast, but I call him Beastie all the time π .
I’m sorry this is coming a little late, but I’m very glad you didn’t get seriously hurt. I’m sorry you have to sell off some of your lovelies, you have a beautiful collection. You have some of my ‘dream’ peices, but I can’t even think of making any offers π . It’s too bad someone’s carelessness put you in this situation, but at least you didn’t get badly hurt. Makes me wonder why stuff like that happens sometimes… Good luck on your sale, I hope you get a lot of nice new home for you pretties and it helps with your finacial situation π .
