~holding breath…crossing fingers and toes…~
[We had talked about maybe releasing the old Gothic Unicorn as a PYO]
This would make me unbelievably happy, since it seems there’s even less chance of new production for the gothics on the horizon than the other unis.
Same here…that’s a piece which I really like..but I’m not a fan of the plain black or white colors. I’d be ecstatic to do fur color patterns on them.
Maybe differentiate with the inset logo into the bottom? The old ones dont have that.
LoL…took me a sec to get that! mmmmm…crayfish…aren’t they like baby lobster cousins?
You wouldnt be copying me! We’d both be copying goldfish! lol.
It was a few years ago, but yes, I did do a couple goldfish patterns on the pyo dragon! They came out nicely. Goldfish patterns work well on the scale pattern the pyo dragon has.
me too! It’d be lovely to win him on mine and my hubby’s 13th wedding anniversary!
He’s gorgeous, btw.
December 21, 2012 at 2:40 am in reply to: Really sad. Could use some specialized advice from fellow fishkeepers..Happy Update! #890287+1 more vote that the driftwood is the most likely culprit here. Adding organic matter such as leaves or driftwood lower your GH.
Of course, it could be that the wood was simply exposed to something unfriendly in nature, such as pesticides or other chemical agents. However…I’m still leaning towards gh variance as the issue.
I’d just pull the driftwood out. It’s easier to keep consistent water quality across multiple tanks when not dealing with factors like gh altering driftwood.
Many storebought fish are acclimated to water that hasnt been softened with driftwood, leaves or peat. It’s a ton of headache to attempt balancing your ph and gh when most of the time fish deal ok with tap water gh. Especially when you’re dealing with fish transfers between tanks.
Unless you’re diehard about keeping that wood in there, or are dealing with aquatic life that absolutely demands low gh (such as crystal shrimp) it’s truly not worth the headache.
Maintain your water quality, and consistent ph…then just avoid gh altering components in tank decorating in the future. Go with live plants instead, they’ll look pretty and help improve water quality while not altering it in any harmful way.
Try hornwort…it floats, has bushy foxtail plumes and grows like mad. Great hiding place for fry to shelter too.
Where the game isn’t giving the artist credit…I’m pretty sure that’s in the “not ok” category. Is it a free or paid game?

I’d go with the Philippin/Golden combo myself. Loving those markings. 🙂
Autumn leaf. <3

Unless they have something to say then they make a bark that’s more of a “Rrrowwmmmph!”
Poor hippogryph…..that’s ok, I’ll wait for her. Still hoping she gets to be a pyo.
Really loving that pyo oriental, I’ve wanted to get my painting paws on an oriental for a looong while.
Standing kirin production? or undecided?
I’m undecided. I wanted for him to be regular production, but then remembered how difficult kirins are to paint…
Ha! Indeed…..especially when you consider all the fancy colors I’d want one in!
I still would like to see it as pyo.
Mostly because I know that Windstone has to do very …”basic” color patterns for production grade colors. And personally, I really enjoy contrast on fur and scale combination creatures.
I think the traditional dragons do better as production pieces, due to being all scales, they’re easier to do in a wide variety of interesting colors without being complicated.
