prezaurian ,
I just wanted to tell you that I looked over your thread and you have painted the most beautiful foo dog “Forests of the Night.” The tiger theme was really done well. Melody often paints tigers in her grab bags and your was done really nice. Thank you for sharing. I am one of the production painters at Windstone and it is nice to see your work as a forum member. I am really glad that Windstone lets us paint on EBay. I have so many ideas. Thank you and all of the forum members for buying the items we paint for Windstone. We also love your comments and we do read them all the time. Thank you again. Laurie.
-blushes and dies- Thanks so much!
It’s really nice to see production pieces going up on eBay that are being painted by the production painters! It’s just really great to see the new ideas flowing forth from so many artistic minds. Exciting too! I’m really glad you guys are getting the chance to put forth your ideas. 🙂 And I’m admiring the pieces that have been going on eBay and crossing my fingers that one or two of those paint schemes become production colors. They’re quite beautiful.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI will do this and I will also let you pick the PYO if you wish. I love the way you paint.
Thank you LindaS. 🙂 Unfortunately my Gamble Commission slot filled up quicker than I thought or expected! Hopefully you can catch the next Gamble Commission slot when I post it.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI’d be willing to offer a pyo trade after the holidays. I know it’s not a commission, but still. I say after the holidays so i might have some money lol.
🙂 That would be nice. I really like your pastel work a lot so that would awesome! But as you said, later…after the holidays when money is a touch more available. 😉

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameAlright, as the title says, “One ‘Gamble Commission’ Slot”. So what is this? Choose a pyo sculpt from any I would normally paint (no muses or bookends). Pick out colors you would want and anything you just could not stand seeing (i.e. you can’t stand butterfly designs). Give me free reign (+3 months painting time). I will paint something for you using the colors you chose and leaving out elements that would disappoint you.
Okay, I know this sounds a bit…crazy. But here is why I’m offering this unusual type of commission. I enjoy painting very much but can’t always purchase pyo sculpts. So I decided to try this idea out. I understand that not everyone would be thrilled with this type of commission. Gambling isn’t something everyone enjoys. I won’t be offended if a single person doesn’t reply. Money is tight for everyone after all. But if you do happen to be interested…here are some financial details.
Cost: The Sculpt’s Store Price + you shipping to me and me shipping to you
Yeah, that’s it. The only reason I’m doing this is so I can paint and to challenge myself. Not to earn any money. Don’t want to lose any money either though (other than the cost of my paints). ;P I do my best not to slump on quality when I’m painting for someone else (this is my personal pride in my painting at stake after all). I will also NOT repeat whatever paint scheme results from the Gamble Commission. So what you get will be OOAK.
If this generates any interest then I’ll probably offer one Gamble Commission annually.
PM to contact me for additional details or if you are interested. I don’t want to clog up this thread. Please don’t ‘Quote’ if you have comments about this post. I want to be able to edit this post later if I need to add additional details.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameAs I don’t have a single poad sculpt, young poads would be nice. Especially in fantasy and/or fantasy safari colors.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI don’t really like the Blue Jay theme on dragons, for some reason.. it just doesn’t look right..
I think the scheme is better suited for Gryphons, Unicorns, and Pegasi :3I think the Blue Jay coloring is quite striking on the Emperor. The black coloration on the snout going to white is very striking. He’s especially interesting when viewed from the front.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI’m with you. I use to paint pyos all the time, and a few years back I was able to sell every piece I painted (a good thing since I was jobless. So I was painting several pyos a week for over six months)… but now I don’t have the money to spend on blanks and no one buys my pyos anymore. So I understand.
Thank you for understanding. It has been frustrating so it’s nice to know some of the other painters understand. -laughs and then sighs- I guess I came into the game a bit too late. Perhaps things will pick up some time in the future for all of us.

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameI would go further than this, actually. I would paint the wolf a somewhat dark grey, then use a very thinned paint “wash” to add shadows to the recesses (as well as darken the piece overall) and then lightly drybrush a slightly lighter grey over top. Then, knowing me, I’d go back with the dark wash on any place that was supposed to be shadowed – like under the jaw, at the knees and and under the tail. But I’m known for too many steps and never leaving anything alone.
I third this. 🙂

https://www.redbubble.com/people/prezaurian?ref=artist_title_nameGB Young Unis? Fantasy safari would be cool. I had to skip the last batch of young unis because of the price. But with a heads up I might be able to save for one. If not, the poads are always a possibility. 🙂
