Hi, Kelsey, your dragon is lovely!
I think your idea of matte spray/ brush on gloss in spots would work well. I have used spray sealer on figures (non WIndstones), then brushed glossy clear nail polish on spots, and it has worked great.Mine came (thank you! so beautiful as always, i really appreciate it) but my mother’s has not. She lives with me. Weird.
I haven’t heard from her for quite a while. I hope all is well for her. The dogs are loving the cold, but we shall see about the plants. We’re about so miles north of our old home and on the other side of the river, it does get colder here.
I haven’t found my original of the recipe since I moved (I know I didn’t toss it! But still unpacking) so I am using the copy I posted here. Bumping in case someone newer might like it.
I took a few not wonderful quick pics and sent them off. Hey, at least this is the native environment for the grey fox!
i was thinking all my Windstones are still packed, but i bought a couple griffin chicks as presents, and have some pebbles out. Maybe tomorrow i can take a few pics.
Might you have a defective piece? I’ve never noticed that the gypsum of PYOs was softer than that of production pieces. Do you mean as blatant a difference as between greenware ceramics and fired pieces?
Welp, my choice of color has exactly 0 votes on that list. Guess it will be a very long time coming. Maybe that’s a good thing- more time to save.
thank you!
Etruscan gave the best advice, but short answer is Elmer’s glue and if fill in/resculpt is needed Apoxie Sculpt, Golden for the paint.
What Pixie-dust said!
I’ve moved, as has my mom. I will send the new address.Hi, looking good! I would advise applying a layer of spray on clearcoat- that will protect the paint you’ve already applied. You can continue painting over it, and if you don’t like it, wash off the new paint.
oh that’s good to hear! Hope she’s okay otherwise too.
We are very blessed, lots of major flooding right around me, fallen trees etc. but all we got is debris in the yard. All the utilities are back as of this morning.Tampa is flooding bad right now, it’s pouring here and blowing hard but still have power.
can I suggest a Toaster color here? Personally I’d like emerald or Woodland, but a silver one would be funny as well as beautiful. Doing a bunch of OOAKs for eBay would probably be best for the company to start, maybe ones to match recent eBay color families.
I think that Ocean test paint would be awesome on this figure and as a LP/new color family on the dragons in general.
