Just got to place my order today. Can’t wait to see what I get.
It’s been a week since surgery and I’m still tender and bruised in several places, but overall I feel so much better. It’s getting easier to get out of bed in the morning and get out of my chair for work. I’m almost two weeks without a soda now, so I guess that’s a good thing.
I’ll be glad to get the gallstone out at the end of the month. They told me it is 10mm or the size of a pea. I worry about it blocking up the bile duct again. I’d rather not have that pain again and another case of jaundice.
Glad to see Liberty’s surgery went well.
I had surgery of my own recently. My gallbladder decided it didn’t like me any more so I had to have it removed last week. I have to go back for another procedure at the end of the month because I still have a stent and a gallstone in my bile duct.
Add me please?

The previous park manager was washing his truck on his day off and had a little too much to drink. He somehow ripped the faucet off. In a fit of anger rather than just get a small elbow and pipe section to attach a new faucet he ended up almost making a cube with the number of bends and duct taping the thing to the deck to support it. Oh and he did this with the water was running.
We had looked at this monstrosity when we moved in with horror. So many unnecessary bends, minimal insulation! We knew it was asking for trouble.
It’s a small state park – only 32 campsites and three cabins, two full-time staff (my husband is one of those two), and two part-time staff. The staff do every thing – housekeeping, grounds keeping, vehicle maintenance, etc. Public area upkeep comes first. Repairs in staff-only areas are low on the totem pole. It was on the “when we get around to it” list.
Needless to say it’s moved onto a higher priority list, but right now it’s still been too cold for anything to cure properly without blasting it with warm air from a hair dryer. That’s what was done to cap it for now. That was an adventure as well because they had used up all the pvc glue they had on the bathhouse and cabin pipe repairs the day before so they had to call friends and family nearby to see if anyone had some as it was Christmas day and everyplace that carries it locally was closed.

Yesterday it was a pipe in the bathhouse and one of the cabins. Today it was the shop sink and our faucet. No one has my middle son’s adhd medicine in stock near me and they don’t know when they will have any available. I don’t know how I am going to make it through the winter break if he doesn’t have his meds. He and his younger brother proved this weekend again that they can’t be unsupervised when he doesn’t get his medicine (they barely can when he does). I work from home full time and they get out on Friday for three weeks! Adderall shortages suck.
I got my card earlier. Thank you so much. The ray of light I needed today.
