I was looking for pictures of the new Wolf color griffins on the website, and couldn’t find any — are they just not up yet? I want to see them before I try to talk my local seller into getting some! 😀

Second, as I was looking, I came across the following on the “Special Auction: Secret Keeper” page:

Six pre-production castings were produced and painted by Melody of which five were awarded to retail display contest winners and two have been auctioned off on Ebay

So were there actually seven pre-production castings? Or only four awarded to retailers? Or only one auctioned on Ebay?

All right, I have color schemes dancing in my head again, sooo… I need a griffin to put them on!

I saw a few on Ebay, but I’m really in need of one with bright/dark blue eyes, and Ebay didn’t have those up. I know one can order PYOs by email instead of through Ebay, but am a little unsure of two things:

Thing One: Do they have all the eye colors “in stock” all the time? Or were some of them special limited releases, and not available anymore?

Thing Two: I understand that I should mail my order to “Karen” — what is Karen’s email address?

I have Christmas money, so at last I can actually begin the hunt for this guy!

If at all possible, I’d like one with the stripey wings, and I’m willing to pay a bit more for it; but I’m still definitely willing to consider the regularly patterned ones.

Please please consider me if you’re looking to sell one; I’ve wanted him for ages!

Well, I bought mine for $65 on Ebay, but that was back around the time they were retired (either just before or just after, I don’t remember precisely), and it was a Buy-It-Now price. So it may never happen again… or it may be an example of how it pays to check Ebay obsessively. 🙂

I just *knew* that if I didn’t buy him at that price I would regret it forever, and for once I listened to my instincts. 🙂 Even with shipping he came to under $75, and I’m so bloody proud of myself for getting him.
