Aww, thank you! I want to have a set of four “Elemental Dragons” eventually, and I also wanted a way to identify them as such, so: collars!
The White has Ir (Iridium), which was basically just my practice piece — her collar was made first, just to work out the process, so I don’t consider her part of my eventual “Elemental Dragons” set. But just in case it turned out well, I wanted it to be something appropriate enough that she could wear it, so… my irridescent White dragon got Iridium as her element tag. 🙂

I’ve seen just a tiny trace of this on one or two of my Laps’ horns! Hope it’s not proliferating while they’re packed up in storage…
I tried gently prying at it with a fingernail, with no result, when I first noticed it, but I didn’t try anything else, so I’m not sure if there’s a cure — I’ll be watching this thread just in case!

Here is a pic of her horns, I tried alittle bit of water on a paper towel but it did not come off.
I tried the baking soda and water mix and it took alot of it off but alot of them are tiny little spots and I cannot get them off but most of all the larger green spots came off and the horns are some what shiney now 🙂

Not me. I, unfortunately for my wallet, have the Lapdragon-Collecting Bug. (Also have the Must-Save-Up-For-A-White-Rising-Spectral Bug!)
The Curly Bug would be a lot cheaper… but they just don’t appeal to me. I don’t care for the Coileds, either.
Have to admit I was tempted by the “Copper Patina” ones, though! 🙂 SUCH a lovely color! I’d probably like it on anything. (*pictures a Patina OW and dies of glee*)

I have two…and I think even though the Copper Patina is just lovely, my pearly pink is GORGEOUS. I can’t stop looking at her.

Wow, I’m jealous! 😀 My first pieces didn’t come out nearly that well! That dragon is amazingly beautiful, and I love the griffin, too — his wings are awesome, with the edging and the fade-to-gold effect. (And the Muse happens to be done ENTIRELY in my two favorite colors! 🙂 So I’m enjoying staring at her, too!)

Honestly, though — good luck! I’m sure he’ll find a good home, given how hard the White ones are to find! (I should know; I’ve been looking for a couple of years now.)

(You know, I was just reading an article yesterday about how people are saving vast amounts of money on home renovations by having put them off till now, when the economy’s tanked… too bad “now” isn’t a feasible time to be buying cases; I bet I could find lots of out-of-work or willing-to-reduce-prices builders…)

I definitely don’t mind used… but unfortunately it is my curse to end up living in places with absolutely useless, if not nonexistent, thrift stores. Hopefully I can break the curse before Windstone-case-owning becomes a real possibility, but just in case (heh), I don’t want to count on it too much. I also have horrible luck with yard sales, much to my sorrow.

This is purely dreaming on my part right now, but I’ve noticed/heard several of you mention that you have beautiful glass (or glass-fronted) display cases for your collections, and I was curious about where you got them (or had them made?), and how much they cost.
I’m flat broke right now and for the foreseeable future, but my collection has grown quite a bit over the last few years, and (:::crosses fingers:::) hopefully by next year I’ll have a real job, with the things that come along with that — like my own place and all of my belongings in it! (It’d be SO nice to have all my things — dragons, clothes, toys, BOOKS — in the same state at last!) 🙂 And the other thing that comes with “a real job” is “disposable income”… so I’d like to start planning!
I have an almost-complete family of Whites, a complete trio of Orientals, and about seven Lap Dragons… what size/dimensions do you guys use for your cases/with each sculpt or grouping? How expensive were they, and what do you like/want to improve about them?
