Does anyone know how to make a Windstone Chat channel for like IRC or something? a website based one, so no one has to download anything??
I know over on The DragonCave forum, TJ(the creator) has a web based chat room link in his signature.

Well, it first showed up when I opened yahoo messenger a few weeks ago. So husband now thinks that the messengers open the ports which also let the trojans/worms/etc in. He also says he thinks trillian opens those same ports, while the website based one won’t. So, if I go to aim.com and use their aim express, it might be safe.
If anyone gets it here, don’t click the window. Open your task manager and end program, then scan with your real antivirus programs. I’ll probably have to reformat anyways, since it’s not really going away, and I hate seeing in malewarebytes that I have keyloggers and backdoors on my computer D8

He says at the level of infection you have, it would be better to take it to Geeksquad and have them scan it, or have them make it into a slave drive so they can scan it from there.

yah, I got it a week and a half ago…that thing was EVIL o_o
My husband got the computer to boot to safemode then scanned with malewarebytes and AVG(the free version) so far, it’s tried coming back every so often, but I think it’s because I use instant messengers. I since have deleted my yahoo and aim from the computer, but am using windows live messenger…and that might be what is causing it to reoccur.

AVG you can get from their site: http://www.avg.com/Also, husband said that as malewarebytes scans, the virus/trojan copies itself to a portion that has already been scanned. Well, when it moves like that, AVG pops up saying something has changed and if you want to delete the file. The two programs work in tandem.

cops are like any other government official. If you don’t hold them accountable for their actions they won’t hold themselves accountable. Besides, if the people don’t care, then why should they?

Wrong. You had enough probable cause to arrest him on suspesion and to further investigate. Also that he entered Target with intent to commit a crime;ie use stolen credit cards;fraud, which is a felony not a misdemeanor. Yes the officers will do the minimum they can get away with because they are geared that way. The reason that you contact the sargeant is to let him know that his officers are not pursuing their cases to the extent that they should. Pye’s advice would take you out of you’re compfort zone, if you’re not prepared to do that than ignore Pye’s advice. Pye’s geared towards a different reaction, and angers her that the police did not follow through and you did not follow through.
What should’ve happened:
The front desk people at homedepot should have ID him
The people that saw him walking around should have ID him(including your friend that told you about him)
You should have ID him regardless of his scheme to mess up his face so you couldn’t ID him(and then him intimidating you to witness his crime by going back looking for you then calling you)
The cops should have fingerprinted your desk and keyboard
Checked video cameras(who else was walking around in a blue jumpsuit acting as a DM?)Other ID theft advice:
the debt concolidation people need to be advised and cards should be canceled
debit card should be canceled
checks should be canceled
do all the stay safe kinda things
