It always surprises me how much people spend, how obvious they make it that they really don’t know much about what they’re buying. I compare prices on just about anything, whether it’s an electronic gadget or a motorcycle.
I’m exactly the same way. Do you research the reviews and product ratings too? I always do that…
I don’t read too many reviews, and I can’t remember ever using a product rating. Generally, on the machines and electronics I ask my brother, since he reads the reviews and product ratings and he’s a natural expert at that, and on Windstones and additions to my weapons collection I ask myself, since I’m an expert on those.:D I don’t really buy much else.
That works! 🙂

I guess she needs to have an albino griffin right NOW… 🙂

Aha…problem has been fixed. Now we’re all watching her eat the nut… 😆
Aw, thanks Mimi. It is so nice to be part of the group.
We wouldn’t think of going without you! 😀dragonessjade wrote:Oh and when are we going or have we gone already?
We normally would need to wait for the visas, but Frozen’s demonstrated that you can get there with enough rum… 😆
So I’m joining his rum induced SquirrelLand visit…I think I definitely see an ice cream parlor and a bakery…wow, that ice cream parlor is crowded. All I can see is a mass of waving tails!

Are you looking at Frozen?
Beautiful! The shading is really well done too.
Isn’t a certain person supposed to be doing homework? 😛
starbreeze wrote:Beautiful castle collection, Mimi!!! I don’t have any, but you’ve got me thinking about it…
Thanks! You should get them too! 🙂
I think you’ll really like them…and like all Windstones, they look so much better in person…
No paperwork as far as I know either — they’re standard production pieces. But they made the usual boxes with the fitted cardboard inserts for the castles (I have all of the original boxes). And if the seller doesn’t have the original box, he needs to be really careful about packing it because the tips of the towers are very fragile.
By the way, none of my castles have hang tags. I think maybe they weren’t using them yet when I got those (I special ordered the whole set from a local store, so I don’t think they would’ve removed the hang tags).

Greater Basilisk wrote:I don’t get why some people decide, “I want this one,” and don’t bother to check whether there are more available or any better deals. Okay, the albino is retired, but still – the bidder should snipe it, not keep driving the price up.
Yeah, its funny how some people just assume that whatever they see is the only one of the item that’s available. But the albino isn’t retired yet, is it? I thought it was limited production?

Actually, I think I shall! They dont look like they take up too much space!
Yay! Then you can have a circle of castles too.
And yes, they really are pretty small…

1 lb hamburger seasoned with salt and pepper cooked until brown and drained.
2 cans of corn, drained
5 medium large potatos made into mashed potatos (don’t use potato flakes)- I add milk, butter, salt, pepper, and a slice or two of cheese to my mashed potatos until it looks like normal consistency
2 cups brown gravy (buy a little packet of easy-to-make gravy and make according to directions)
In a medium size baking dish put the hamburger on the bottom, cover with 1/2-3/4 cups of the gravy. Add drained corn on top of meat. Put mashed potatos on top of corn and spread until smooth on top. Poke 9-12 holes through the mashed potatos down to the meat. Pour remaining 1.25-1.5 cups of gravy on top of mashed potatos. Cook at 350 for 30 minutes. Serve with bread.
Very tasty.
I made Cheryl’s version of shepherd’s pie tonight for dinner…it was delicious!!!! I knew I had a winner when after his first bite, my son said “this is good”. Thanks Cheryl!!! 😆
I made Cheryl’s version for dinner yesterday for some friends and everyone liked it!Both Cheryl’s and Arlla’s shepherd’s pie recipes will be made regularly at my house now… 😀
Thanks! Now you need to get all of those castles too… 🙂
Sure! In case you’re interested, I posted some closer up pics of the other castles also in the “Show Your Windstone Collection” thread: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=95&start=630 (its item #14 of the post).
And I was thinking the same thing…if the dragons were that big the people in the castle would have problems…he he he…
Ooooh…that’s beautiful…
You’re welcome! You can see even more detail in person…a lot of it doesn’t show up in the picture…
