Gonna be honest and say that I do not understand how “wings” can form through poor grooming. That’s skin and bone we’re talking about here. I mean, I have always understood “grooming” to mean brushing; unless they mean cutting things off?
What they meant was that in the appearance of some “wings” they are actually just long clumps of matted fur. I have seen similar images of cats like this, some with actual appendages, and some with just clumpy fur. If fur, particularly long fur, isn’t groomed and begins to mat up, some times it will pull away from the skin, forming long strands or odd shapes. We have had feral cats at the shelter with “back-packs” or other “ornaments” because of this. I wouldn’t be surprised if in some of the images online, it was actually a maintained sort of thing… like those super long, curly finger nails some people have. Let the cat get matted up on the sides to the point it is like felt, and carefully snip enough of it from the skin so that it hangs away like wings. Basically feline dread-locks.
Oh that is wonderful! We had a woodpecker once pecking on our house! I wanted to get pictures, but he flew away. Mostly in our yard I just see robins, magpies, black-capped chickadees, and common redpolls. I hear a lot more birds, and we have an owl that shows up in a group of trees in the backyard (never seen him though). A few years ago we had a Steller’s Jay visit, and I think the birds that I saw on our neighbor’s roof might have been Lincoln’s Sparrows.
At my sister’s place, there is a pair of Red-necked Grebes out on the lake. Their eggs should have hatched by now.
Oh wow, I like the one you picked as 2, he is also very handsome! Haha, and looks like I would have very stiff competition if someone put that one colt I liked up for trade. XD

I didn’t realize the biodegradable ones melted if you pour water on them! Now I know what to do with all the bags of foo foos building up in my cubicle at work.
I was waiting to see if Chloe would post, but she hasn’t. I was keeping track of the auctions in Notepad, just in case… but then today my mother unplugged my computer, and since I was foolish and hadn’t been saving the Notepad, I lost the info. I was able to reconstruct it, since most were still up. The only one who I don’t have the auction link for (or the actual title of) is the Tiger Bat Winged Flap Cat. Thankfully I had his image saved already.

Congratulations to whoever won the Sushi Cats print, so cute! I love Patricia’s Midnight Calico pieces, glad to see another one available to a lucky person. I am also loving the Sunburst flap cat, what a handsome little guy! Those rich browns with that pop of blue, yum. 🙂
