Melody, I was just wondering why gold is a “higher segment” price than ruby, even though they’re both basically one color? For example, the ruby male is $110, and so was the peacock before he was retired. Now gold and EmPea are both $115, like rainbow and Black Gold. Was peacock cheaper because it was so old, and now EmPea is priced higher because it’s a lot of colors, like rainbow? And is gold priced like Black Gold because it’s somehow hard to paint?
I hope these questions make sense. 🙂 I’m just wondering, because now the only color left with lower pricing is Ruby.
I’m not trying to question the company policy or anything. I think you could ask for even more and we’d probably pay it. I would!well, it’s like this. We haven’t raised our prices enough in the past! We forgot to. So, we either have to up the prices on everything, or just kinda inch them up on new stuff.I haven’t looked at the prices, so I really don’t know what they are now!

I didn’t know these were made.
No, not a windstone. Looks like the seller took it off.The seller responded to my message. She was selling it for a friend and the friend honestly thought it was an original. She appologized heartily and said next time it gets listed she will say it is a print.
skigod377 wrote:Are you gonna make old warriors in the new gold and emerald peacock colors? I think you said you planned to do them all in the new colors but I cant find the thread. I think the gold with the purple would be absolutley stunning on the OW. I would mos def be your first customer.
Yes . Not sure when exzactly.
skigod377 wrote:starbreeze wrote:In that case, it’s probably a bargain.
Miss Melody herself said its not the original. I wonder what makes him think his is the original? What would be funny is if Melody contacted him and asked how could he have the original when she has it! I sent a message to the seller. We’ll see if the words change next time it gets put on ebay.
skigod377 wrote:This is a print of mine, but not an original.
These prints have gone for over fifty dollars without a frame on Ebay, so, weird as it seems, the starting bid isn’t too unrealistic. It costs over a hundred $ to get something framed these days!sunhawk wrote:Melody wrote:Good Idea.I probably will make a pyo Oriental dragon eventually…and I am planning to do a flapcat. I think a flapcat and a hippogriff or hippocampus is next.
Tatzelwyrm?
Editted to new, non-computer-screwing link – SORRY!! I use Firefox and i’ve never had a problem with angelfire sites before!! @___@
http://www.newanimal.org/tatzel.htmBased on that? Which version do you prefer? A tazelwyrm is a cat-dragon.I read that somewhere. Interesting concept.

A PYO kitsune?
drag0nfeathers wrote:Hiya Mel, I was just curious of something concerning PYO’s. I didn’t know if it was okay or not to make our own certificates of authenticity for our paint jobs when comissioned or auctioned as some of us have been doing with our PYO’s?
I only ask because I was toying with the idea of doing a charity one for my cat and having a little cerfificate showing that it was made especially one of a kind for a vetinary bill charity. Of course they would say that all rights were yours and that they were sculpted by you, so on and so forth, but the paint job was by so and so… you get the idea. Does Windstone/ or you imparticularly since they are your visions afterall, frown upon that? Thanks =) I think that anything that clarifies what these things are is good. If you paint it, you should sign it, and a letter from you is a great idea too, I think, because it gives them a history! I like these guys to have a pedigree.
ruffian wrote:Something always seemed off to me, it just dawned on me they have round pupils, is that because the eyes are not available with slit pupils?
It is very hard to make cat’s eyes look nice with slit pupils unless they are elaborately silkscreened with realistic coloring on the back. We tried using simple slit pupil eyes, but even those were difficult to paint and they looked really stupid.
Since a cat’s eyes will be round when they are in low light, I just pretend these guys are out at night.Much easier.copper83 wrote:Hi Melody,
Are there going to be more of the small PYO Dragons released? Any idea when the big ones might be released? Thanks!. I’ll check on Monday and see what is happening with the large pyo dragon, and see if we have more little ones ready. There should be some.
dragonessjade wrote:Unless they are by windows and then the eye could still cause fire. Right?
They can only start fires if they are loose, so full sun can hit the top of the globe and focus directly underneath, and then it happens to be focusing full sunlight directly onto flamable kindling, like, say, dry leaves or grass. If the sides of the globe are hidden, like in the Spectrals, the sun can’t pass through them to focus.
Watergazer wrote:I’m really interested in if you may plan on releasing a chinese dragon PYO. Since a lot of people have been trying out koi colors on the KiRins, I think putting out a dragon with those same type of scales as made for the KiRin would benefit the koi look but also would allow for so much more color choices which…and would be a bit more simple to paint than the little young dragon already released. Not that we are never happy and always demand more, but I just figured naturally a chinese dragon would be a staple figure to make.
Also, are there any plans for a flap cat? I just assume there are but I figured I’d just ask. BTW I love the PYO wolf! I’d die to see a PYO kackalope but I thik that’s pushing it, lol. A pheonix would be awesome as well sometime down the line.
Good Idea.I probably will make a pyo Oriental dragon eventually…and I am planning to do a flapcat. I am also eager to make new subjects that I haven’t been able to do yet. I’d like to do a Phoenix.
