(though I tip my hat to the purple, very cute but it reminds me of gray)
Hmm…the lavender also looked like a light gray on my monitor…
I wonder if the lavender eyes for the poads are actually the same color as ones on the Keeper PYO dragon that Arlla showed in this thread:
In that picture the lavender eyes look like a very, very light purple, though in the other pictures in that thread the eyes looked sort of gray. I guess lavender eyes are just hard to photograph accurately.Yes, same eyes. They do look like that.. kind of a greyish liver color. Not really bad looking, just not bright lavender.

They might go for less. Melody said in this thread that they might go for ~$600:
Melody wrote:I believe the Secret Keepers are going to retail for around $600.However this price isn’t firm until we paint a regular batch to see what our costs are. So far I’ve painted them all myself, and I am very slow, and inefficient.
We plan to issue them in most of the colors we have painted the other dragons in.The “rare” colors, like old brown and white, we will do as “Limited production” batches.Limited production means that we won’t have alot of these colored dragons around;we will only paint small batches from time to timeDon’t hold me to that! I am not sure what we would have to charge for production ones!

email Susie at the the “service” email and change your order.

I going to do batches of different colors. Not ooaks now, at least.
Have you decided how many different color schemes that you’re going to do?
How many “natural” color schemes and how many “metallic”? nope. I have no idea.
Greater Basilisk wrote:I’m totally undecided as to color. I think I’ll wait for pics before I order.
AURGH!! I give up, I just can’t get the images off of the camera onto my stupid computer, here at the factory. It just doesn’t wanna work. I will post the three differnt eye colors of Poadsâ„¢ tonight when I get home.
Ok, Susie said that you can pre-order butternut Poadsâ„¢ now!
They are $100.00 each.I think we still prefer paypal,if possible. Susie will mail you an invoice with the shippin g included when we figure it out.(we don’t know what these weigh in the box yet, but out of the box they are 1.2 pounds)
Today, I will try to post a pic of the Butterbutt Poadsâ„¢ with different colored eyes in my gallery, so you can choose.
The choices are green, hazel(light brown) and lavender.
The eyes are not glued in, so we will give them the eyes you want. We will try to get them shipped on Monday.Send your orders to: service@windstoneeditions.com This email address goes to Susie’s desk, Karen isn’t in on Fridays. They are signed, but not numbered.Ok. I got about a hundred butternut poadsâ„¢ finished. I think I’ll do fifty with lavender eyes and fifty with hazel eyes. They really do look good with lavender. Green eyes look better on the ones with some green in them. I am the decider.
The person/name who got the #3 White SK isn’t anyone I recognise. Not only that, but the three highest bidders where ebay names that I don’t recognise either! Interesting.
You guys are so decisive. Where’s Pam when I need her?
copper83 wrote:Maybe this has been brought up and I just missed it, but with all the talk about favorite colors, am I the only one that sees the metallic Poads as male and the neutral ones as female? I mean, they are part bird, and with birds, the males are usually more flashy. Was this what you had in mind Melody, or is it just me? 😀
Well, in my story , poadsâ„¢ are all female. Like worker
bees. They come in many colors, because they are a form of living art. This doesn’t mean that there can’t ever be males too, though.
Maybe I should ask what color eyes you-all want. I was going to give them hazel eyes, since that is the classic color, but green or lavendar could work too. Maybe some of each?
They look a little like a cross between a guinea pig and a parrot type bird, but are mostly their own thing.
emerald212 wrote:Greater Basilisk wrote:Any hints as to pricing yet?
I don’t know that yet. Maybe Melody could answer? Melody? Uh… I don’t know. We need to paint a batch or two to see what our costs are, first.
When you see Windstone fakes/ copies/ or things that are potential infringements of our stuff on Ebay, please leave the auctions alone, and let us know about it.We need to purchase one ourselves to get on with legal action against them. The auctions often get pulled before we can get the evidence we need! So don’t scare that kind off.
