Pam Thompson wrote:Ok, it’s not fair… Why does Mel always have to make the really pretty ones ebay auction only? Why can’t the pretty ones be production?? *sigh* Maybe its just me, but the auction windstones always seem so much more beautiful than the production ones 😥
These have lavender eyes! You hate lavender eyes!
… unless you are talking about the golden warrior, and he is just like the cheaper production ones,’cept for the sparkle paint.Narno wrote:I was just wondering if you were ever planning on doing a production run of sushi cats. I think they are adorable and i have always wanted a “lucky cat”, but it would fit so much better on my shelves if it were a windstone cat.
No, those sushi cats are too hard to paint to do them in production! It is possible we may do another batch sometime, as a direct sale thing, but for now, 24 is all we are going to make. I have a smaller pair of sushi cat sculptures that we may also issue at some time as limited production. If I can find them.( they are hard to paint too!)

Not only did you paint 6 of them, but I can tell you exactly how much each of the 6 sold for:
Secret Keeper Dragon (Green Sunset) 2 159,56 $, 1 075,00 $, 1 051,00 $, 1 153,00 $, 1 500,00 $, 1 026,62 $
And yes, I am in fact a bit nuts! 😆 Really? It is all a blur.
purplecat wrote:I know this question has nearly no purpose, but I was curious…I saw a pic of the mother grif on elfwood and she was unpainted, did you shorten the ears? They look a bit longer in the pic on elfwood. She was unfinished in the pic, I don’t actually have a momma grif yet (wanting a production one) so I don’t have a physical piece to compare the pic to.
… did I shorten the ears… uh… I don’t remember. I did even them up a little, because they didn’t match, but I think I shortened the one on the backside. She wasn’t buffed up any! She was plenty big enough to start with. Her face does looks different on Elfwood. The sculpture was very rough then.
********
I just looked at the image on elfwood, and yes, it looks like I did shorten her ear on the near side. It curved up more.tfsculptures wrote:i am very curious to see the color pattern that is chosen for him….. all the production em.peas have violet noses, but the auction OW has a green nose. i assume he will match the production pieces, but he is pretty cute with his green snout! (tries to imagine him with the violet- squint!)
The prototypes were all a little different from each other, and they will be different from the production ones. They had allot of hand painting on them that the regular ones wont have..
littleironhorse wrote:Romeodanny wrote:Really? There were six Green Sunset SK? I really thought there was only one. But, then I didn’t even remember them being on ebay.
Yep! 6 of them: http://www.windstoneeditions.com/artists%20description.htm#SecretKeeperGreenSunset
Well… 6 auctionned and 1 paint sample 😉
😳 Like Romeodanny said… Welcome! 😀What?? I think that is a mistake in our description.. I don’t remember painting six of them! but then, my memory isn’t so great, as you might of noticed.. I’ll need to check that factoid on Monday.
Welcome TC! So glad you’ve joined the zoo. Reeking ferrets welcome!Griffiness wrote:Will there ever be a emerald peacock old Warrior?
I’ve been avoiding this question because I haven’t decided if we should paint the regular old warriors like the prototypes.. I think the answer has to be yes, because that was one of the main reasons I painted them in test colors in the first place! I wanted to try out different color combos to see if they were well liked. I was clear in the auctions for the prototypes that the colors may be used as a regular production color one day.
So I just decided. Yes.
However there will never be any more Em.Pea. Secret Keepers, because they were a limited edition.pegasi1978 wrote:😮 Oh the violet wolf griffins sound so pretty. I can’t wait to see what they look like.
I’d post a picture, but the one I took makes them look like they are edged with bright purple neon lights! I hope the ebay shots John took are more accurate.
littleironhorse wrote:I notice that you have quite a few of the dragons available in emerald-peacock… So any hope of seeing either a fledgling or spectral in that color any time soon? 😀
Right. Forgot. I have a paint sample of the fledge already, but I forgot to tell someone to do them! …and I need to ask if we can cast Spectrals, (we may not have space in casting to do them now). What would I do without you folks?
Dragon Master wrote:what if some here like the bitching and moaning?
That’s why you are here, right?
OH, I see the O. Warrior dragons on Ebay now.. but the special paint doesn’t show up in the photos… Dang.
Nambroth wrote:OKay, before us griffin lovers explode, what are violet wolf griffins? Will they be limited production or are you guys just gonna auction off the first 10 on ebay? Are they a new production color?
There I asked it before anyone else could! Hah! 😛You heard about those?? They aren’t on Ebay yet, are they?? (I don’t see ’em ,but sometimes stuff doesn’t show up for some reason)
They aren’t a production color.
You’all know we are auctioning off the first ten of each new production piece, I decided that the first ten should be slightly different from the production version rather than have them be absolutely identical, just to show they are of the first ten.(Got the idea from the first little Rock dragons we auctioned, they had unique violet markings) So, I re-touched some production wolf griffins with some violet paint in the dark areas, and gave them lavender eyes and jewels instead of green. They are purple wolfs.
We will also be auctioning off the first ten Golden (regular) Warrior dragons. These have special paint too.tc_cat333 wrote:What are Poads and where do I get them?
I guess you already have the link to order them, (if you close your email to Suzie with “love, Fuzzy” you’ll get something extra).
Poadsâ„¢ are these roundish little creatures that were intended as promotional sculptures for my comic, but they arrived and the comic never did. So here they are… and I will spare you the bitching and moaning that usually accompanies that statement.
( My lawyer told me I always have to put the “tm” after the name. I will spare you the bitching and moaning that that causes too.)I’ll second that!
