Thanks, 96037. But, I think I’d feel too bad busting up a Young in good condition to sacrifice her for the horn. I’ll keep watching to see if any chipped or broken ones show up.
Thanks all for your valuable tips!

It’s not as strong because you are gluing to the surface of the anchor, but it also works. I wouldn’t recommend shipping it again after that though”
Thanks, DF. Just to get some idea, how much would you charge to fix something like this, if I can find another white young to sacrifice? I might buy the damaged piece from the seller, after the insurance is settled, so I’m just trying to get some kind of idea on approximately what the costs to fix him would be & whether or not its worth it to fix. He’ll never be mint, but his colors are gorgeous. I guess I could buy a tiny hat or something to cover up his hole in the head, if it’s too costly to fix.

I would also see about getting an estimate from drag0nfeathers or Kyrin for the repair and asking the seller to cover the costs to fix him.”
Thanks for the advice. The seller had agreed to refund my purchase & she has an insurance claim filed for the damages. But, she has stopped responding to my emails, and I opened a Paypal case and she’s not responded yet to Paypal either. Back when she was resonding to my emails, we discussed possibility of my buying the damaged piece from her after the refund & insurance claim were settled, but hadn’t agree on any price. I wanted to find out how much it’d cost to fix him up before I make any offer for the damaged GBY.
I suppose I could scour ebay watching for a damaged white young uni that has the horn intact. I guess if the uni had chips or breaks, I wouldn’t feel so bad ruining it to get the horn.
I’ll check with Kyrin or Drangonfeathers to get some idea of how much they’d charge to fix him.
Thanks again, all.

Have you tried uninstalling Chrome & then doing a clean-up on any files that remained in those directories after the uninstall? It’s worth a shot. You may lose your favorites & settings & have to re-do them tho.

Thanks. I’ve updated my post to comply with the forum rules, and will start a new thread regarding the process of dealing with a trade gone bad (in general “nameless” terms) & the Paypal claim process, hoping for some pointers or advice.

I second, third, fourth or fifth the above sentiments. Susie is the ultimate dedicated customer service provider. Thanks, Susie for all you do.
She’s beautiful, Etruscan. You got the little girl with the white moth on her back. Very nice.

She’s just beautiful! Love the teal & the filigree pattern.

“The picture that is in that ad is from a professional photographer’s book/calendars. His name is Robert Valdez or something like that (It’s been thirty years and I can’t remember). He did his work in the late seventies, early eighties; a friend of mine worked for him and wanted to use one of my horses as a one of his unicorns (I had a leopard appaloosa with one blue eye). The horns were elaborate strap-ons and didn’t harm the horses at all.”
How cool that you know the photographer. I wonder if he knows that somebody’s using his pictures to scam someone out of money purchasing live unicorns on Craigslist?
So, is that one of your horses in the ad?
“Strap-on” horn! OMG I guess it’s better than “implants”.

Real life unicorns for sale on Craigslist #906377Yes, and here we were always told that unicorns were “mythical” beings that didn’t exist (like Santa Claus). It didn’t say how much they charge for unicorn eggs, but given the price of the 2 unicorns, I think its out of my price range. lol
I wonder if they did plastic surgery to some poor horses and implanted a horn. Or, perhaps just photo-shopped the picture they used to do the Craigslist ad?

She’s gorgeous. She’s on my favorite list…was looking for one to match the treescape on Adaptation, but unfortunately, I don’t have anything LOUD to trade for her.
Beautiful poad, Skylover!
Chloe, your cuddlefish guy is adorable. Is that a seascape scene (or something like a coral reef) surrounding the fish?

Yes, love those eyes. Pam does an outstanding job of matching eye colors to the individual.
