Here is “Tornado Disaster Relief” #1, a specially marked PYO Keeper painted to aid the Red Cross in their relief efforts for those affected by the tornadoes and severe storms of April 27th, 2011. He will be listed on eBay as a charity auction starting tomorrow evening.
“Tornado Disaster Relief” #1 is painted in an array of blended colors, soft pearlescent metallics and tiny sparkles. He has light blue glass eyes and an olivine tail jewel. He has been varnished with a high gloss finish, and his felt pad is signed and marked with the Red Cross symbol. He holds a very special piece in his paw, a custom handmade borosilicate glass pendant with a tiny tornado swirled inside, created by Chip Moore of Brookings Oregon. I have included a close up photo of this pendant in full light so you can see its details.
Thanks for looking, I will update here once the listing is active!
He is looking SO amazing Koishii!! :O
The “Tornado” Keeper to benefit the Red Cross is almost complete. <3
If you guys haven’t seen it yet, check out the video this guy took of the Tuscaloosa multiple vortex tornado. It is some of the best extreme footage I’ve seen of a tornado, as he ends up just on the outskirts of the debris cloud. It is incredible.
Thanks so much guys, I sincerely appreciate it!
I just wanted to let everyone know I’m painting a “Doppler Radar” Keeper and a second “Tornado” Keeper for the Red Cross. 100% of the proceeds will be donated for the relief efforts of those affected by these storms. I will update once they are ready for eBay!
NOAA is already saying this is the worst outbreak of tornadoes since the late 70’s. Flooding is also a severe issue, the levee in southeast Missouri is broken in six different places.
Thanks so much Hannah! 🙂
This is so gorgeous Koishii!
I love how you shaded him, and the blending is gorgeous!!
So many awesome pieces! Great work everyone!! 🙂
I missed this from before, thanks so much crowfeather! 🙂
This guy was commissioned by Wampus. She wanted a Keeper inspired by the golden tabby tiger. He has green glass eyes and a topaz tail jewel. His claws are a matte copper finish. In his paw he holds a matching natural beach stone, drilled and hung on a strand of polished stone beads. He was a lot of fun to work on! 🙂
