Just tried a quick guestimate, since they’re cougar sized, if they are similarly priced, with shipping, currency exchange and taxes they’d be about $415.00 CAD each. There’s no way I can justify that in my current financial situation.

I was so eager for these, I guess I’ll have to wait for a regular/limited production pony! πŸ™

I would SO happily send this chilly, snowy weather to anyone who wants it. If only it were possible… *sigh*
My biggest complaint is that when the weather is at the tipping point between melting/freezing it creates havoc on the highways with icy conditions, and of course, not everyone slows down accordingly. Aside from that, I’m tired of driving in “grandma mode”. I drive a sports car and prefer faster speeds. πŸ™‚
Here in Manitoba (or as I’ve called it before, Manitscolda) we generally have a fairly short summer. So for the most part, we’re all extremely eager to get it started. All things considered, it’s been a good winter (if there is such a thing as a “good” winter) with about half the snow amount we normally get, and only a couple of those awful -30 C days. I think I make a pretty crappy Canadian, with the amount of dislike I have for winter, snow, and cold. πŸ˜€

I’m right with you there! I think I should have been born in Florida or something πŸ˜‰

Only 3 sizable snow storms this winter (I’m in Montreal) and I was perfectly happy with that!

The skiers have had their turn, now it’s ours!!! :p

And I could do with a bit of BC weather just about now!

              Hahahahahahahahaha!!!!

For just a moment, I thought that we had another bot attack, but this is just too funny!

              Thanks!

Well, well, well… Very interesting development!

The ruling was in my favour, so I was guaranteed refund upon return of the item. However, as I suspected, shipping was at my expense. So I called paypal and asked why I should be penalized when it was the seller who was in the wrong, so they offered to credit the shipping fee to my account!

Just goes to show, you’ll never get anything if you don’t ask! πŸ˜‰

Update: Just spoke to a Paypal rep, apparently once a claim is escalated to a dispute and the investigation is in Paypal’s hands the comments from the other party become invisible, only the “pre-dispute” comments stay visible. I was told I was guaranteed a refund because of the buyer protection program, but what remains to be seen is if I’ll have to return the item. Hopefully not since then I’ll be stuck with the return fee and nothing to show for it…

Very strange… My case is from an eBay sale as well, but my display is completely different from what you’re describing.

I’ve tried all the links on the claim details page and I still can’t see the seller’s reply. I’ll try contacting Paypal tomorrow.

                        Thanks Ela!

Hmmm, it only shows my comments, not the seller’s comments.

Daylight confirms, mine’s actually more red roan rather than purple roan, but I like both looks on him! πŸ™‚

I’m glad you’re happy with your little purple pony! He was my first traditional size Breyer I ever bought, every time I passed by him in the store I couldn’t help picking up the box and falling in love with the color, now he sits on top of my desk with his adopted foal hehe.

This one is actually a lot less purple than some of the pictures I’ve seen.

It may depend on the batch, or maybe on the lighting, I’ll see tomorrow in natural light… They are lovely, either way. πŸ™‚

I have to say I prefer this (pony) size over the larger traditional horses, although I may buy one, just to see, if I can get a good deal. And if I don’t like it, I’ll just go to the back up plan that I had for this one… give it to my niece! πŸ˜‰

So I finally got my very first Breyer horse.

I got a Brookside Pink Magnum pony.

I paid slightly less than $30.00 CAD (which comes to about $20.00 USD) shipping and taxes included, what do you guys think? Was that a good price?

I know there’s nothing special about this one, it’s regular run and has been out since 2012 but I really like the mold and the color as well. I guess we’ll see how I like it “live”! πŸ˜‰

Wow, that was quick! He just got here and I have to say that I’m very impressed with the quality of the product, especially at this price!

The seams are very discreet, color placement excellent, it has great stability, all 4 feet flush to the ground, nice detailing. I’m very happy with the purchase.
