I won a white fledgling on ebay a few months ago that turned out to not be absolutely mint so now that I got a better one, I would like to sell or trade the old one.
Description:
a hairline scratch on the belly, 1/2″
a bubble in the left eye, 1/16″
no hang tag
no original box
otherwise in perfect conditionI would prefer selling but I would agree to a trade. I would accept in trade most of the western dragons except the hatchlings and the curlies.
I will only accept dragons in absolute mint condition for trade and will add an agreed upon amount to the fledgling if need be. PM me with an offer, I will take best offer.
I have sold and traded with several people on this forum so if you want references you can PM skigod, dragonnessjade, sunhawk or have a look at my ebay feedback: http://feedback.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=little_iron_horse
Hi, Melody!
I’d like to know the brand name, the color and the tip size (extra-fine, fine, medium, etc.) of the paint pen that were used for the detailing on the white dragons… I have a little fledgling that needs some touch-ups.
Thanks!
What would prompt you to give negative feedback to a seller? The reason I ask is because I just received a windstone that I won on ebay and I’m not sure if I should leave the seller good, bad or negative feedback. The dragon I won is a white fledgling and was advertised as mint and did not come with the original box.
Good points:
1. I paid a fair price for it
2. It was extremely well packedNeutral points:
1. There is some fading of the gold detailing but is otherwise in perfect condition. So although it was wrongly listed as mint condition, I am not really bothered by this since it is an easy fix.
Negative points:
1. Grossly overcharged on shipping (USPS sticker says $7.40 and seller charged me $24.00)
2. Did not insure the item as requested
3. Seller never responded to any of my emails requesting tracking numberSo what do you guys think?
Ah… I was wondering what you thought was strange about the picture since it looked fine to me. I guess I didn’t see the first picture.
And as far as copying an existing retired color to make a profit, I’ve asked myself that same question and I guess it could be possible… But Windstone have the colors specially mixed for them, they don’t come directly off the shelf, so it should be fairly difficult. Hopefully.
You have to remember though, when you are outbid by $1.00 it doesn’t mean that the other ebayer’s high bid was only $1.00 more than your own… It’s just that ebay will only register the amount necessary to outbid the previous bidder. The other guy’s high bid might have been $100.00 higher than your own, you would still have been outbid by only $1.00.
I noticed that when I saw your little pyo dragon (lovely btw) on ebay 😀 I thought to myself that if I won, shipping might not be so bad and it would get here quickly… But then I had to remind myself that I’m saving money for a car 🙁
If you keep at it maybe I’ll have chance at one later 😉
He does look finished and a very interesting concept it is. There was something I couldn’t put my finger on until you mentionned that he is supposed to give the impression of a scene and righ enough I had gotten that impression but wasn’t sure what I was looking at. Very nice.
I think romeodanny might have said that because of the title of your post “preview”. I also thought it was a work in progress from the title until I saw the pictures.
Don’t despair Water, I’m sure you’ll get one eventually! Everything pops up on ebay if you’re patient enough. There was a young oriental that sold for $51.00 a while ago, it’s bound to happen again…

WOW! You’re right! I hadn’t noticed that… Hmmm, I guess he isn’t such a great buy after all 🙁
In case you didn’t see him, black griffinin the UK. Fair price too.
Edit: Only a good buy if you’re actually in the UK! Shipping elsewhere is very expensive! Sorry, I hadn’t noticed….
I admit I hadn’t been a fan of the koi look, but I must say this one is beautiful and looks very natural too. It seems to me the shape of the oriental, long and slender, and the look of his scales lends itself beautifully to this look.
Wasn’t Arlla selling her?
That has got to be a record for a tan griffin! 😯
It has so been a seller’s market since after the holidays! Prices are skyrocketing!
I don’t know if USPS offers tracking on ALL services, but they do offer it on USPS Airmail Parcel Post, and the fun thing is that USPS and Canada Post tracking numbers are usable on either website, meaning that I can use my Canada Post tracking number on http://www.usps.com and vice-versa.
