This is so heartbreaking–I’m at a loss for words myself–why????? All those children–I think of their parents sending them off to school that day, we all think that our children will be safe at school and then this–so many of them! It just makes me sick. I feel for those parents and the families of the adults as well. Last I saw the police have good evidence on the gunman and may be able to come up with a motive–it won’t help those who lost family. As bad as my days get, I could never imagine myself going off the cliff and doing something like this–it’s sad when one decides to kill themselves but to take the lives of innocent children and adults? I’m just baffled–heartbroken.

Thanks, etruscan. I think when I was copying the links, I could have left something out. I’m amazed that I figured out how to post in the first place.

For some reason, a couple of pics didn’t post–I’m not gonna fool with it–got the pics on the forum. They were a close up of that adorable ducky.

I just got my gifts from Tinks! Thank you so much, Tinks! I love everything and thanks for checking out my Amazon wish list–wouldn’t know I wanted some of these things if one didn’t look. I’ll try and get pictures posted tomorrow [if I can get my host site to work]. But I got Hershey’s Kisses; small box of Ferrero Rocher chocolates; the CD ‘George Is On’ by Deep Dish; the DVDs Kill Bill volume 1&2 and a very cute Santa duckie along with a very sweet card. I love it! Again, thank you so much! Munch, munch, munch–mouth full of chocolates.

I posted this shortly after I got my package–a minor correction–I didn’t receive a tin of Hersheys Kisses but a recepe card collection! There are recepes for all kinds of goodies–pecan min kisses cups, peanut butter blossoms, toffee topped pineapple upside-down cake to name a few. I love it–can make my own goodies–the Ferrero Rocher chocolates are for real!

It’s been almost two weeks since I sent mine. Man, I hope my recipient gets it soon!

If it went out of country–that could be understandable–but if it’s domestic, I’d worry. Someone told me at this time of year, it has been known that some follow delivery trucks and take packages right after they’ve been delivered.

I love these swaps, but we don’t know when that package will arrive. I’m wondering if in the future, the tracking number could be sent to the receipent just so they know to keep a heads up and look for delivery. It might spoil the surprise of who is the sender for some, but it might help with anxious senders wondering if their package made it okay. I know I would be worried if it’s been two weeks and I haven’t heard anything. Just a thought.

Glad you liked everything siberakh1! After a little bum period, I’m really enjoying my retirement because this is one of the things I love doing. Just love shopping and finding little goodies to send someone. All these gifts look great–can’t wait until I get mine! Weeeeeee!

We should be seeing more gifts come in–this is so exciting. So far, everything I’ve seen has been very nice.

Oh joy–another thing just waiting to crash the store site! Well, let’s see if I can nab one of these–if not, I’ll live 🙂

Windstone has never implemented a preorder system. One main reason why is because sometimes Melody simply does not know how many of something she may be able to paint. I’m sure there are lots of other reasons, but that’s one of the reasons why they implemented the “notify” button so they can try and calculate more accurately how much of a particular item they may need for restocking purposes. Also, when it is restocked you get a reminder which was a great upgrade to the site. Believe it or not, all these features were not around when the forum began.

While I’m sure Windstone doesn’t like dealing with the throw down in the store whenever these are released, I seriously doubt a business would be able to input a lottery system like that unfortunately. It’s not a bad idea, but think of how much work it would be for Windstone to do this with every batch of grab bags? It would be a nightmare. Then people would probably complain that some person hasn’t gotten picked several times, while some other people have had the luck to get picked the last 3 times, so on and so fourth. It’s all about luck there.

Whenever the supply cannot reach the demand there are bound to be customers who are a bit broken hearted.

Honestly… the best way to probably avoid people being disappointed is to just hold them back and release them in large batches so people don’t complain after about how they didn’t get one. It will always be inevitable for people to be upset when the customers outnumber the product to go around. We just need to all be patient for there to be more and hope people are considerate enough to not order from the new batch if they bought from this one.

                              Very well said

I didn’t get in on this–just too little product to satisfy huge demand. Tried but I don’t feel it’s the end of the world–it’s just fun to see if I could nab one. Melody is painting more and so I’m not worried–it’ll happen if it was meant to be. Thanks Melody for all the hard work you do in trying to please us!
