What a very nice topic! 🙂 I see this happen on this forum at lot–someone is down and all sorts of people post encouraging messages. Someone has trouble making ends meet and there is a special raffle to raise money. It’s good to see that people care and when you do something nice for someone and they pass it on, we pass on good karma! It would be nice if this went round and round until there will not be a soul left that can say that no one ever showed them any kindness! :yes:
Oh I just love this! Unfortunately, they’re out there looking for their next unaware victim. This is good to know and will keep it in mind if it happens to me. I am currently not selling anything but would do on ebay–but they could be on there as well. The big tip seems to be that you can’t get your money until you send the package. Yeah, right! 😡 👿 TeeHee, another name my coworker and I give when we know let’s say a caller is a solicitor is ‘Helen Waite’. 😆
I guess when these amethyst dragons become available in the store the theme from ‘JAWS’ should be playing LOL 😆 ! I keep Windstone website on at work but I’m not logged in–just checking the store and the forum to see what’s up from time to time. Well I looked in the store around 2:15 PST and there was an Amethyst Fledgie! I went for it 😮 and broke my rule about not logging into personal accounts at work. I got it! Pleeeeeeeeeease don’t hate me, I got the only one left 🙁 ! Well I also saw that they had the PYO Griffins and Kirins and waited until I got home to order these as well. There they were–the Amethyst Orientals Young–there were about 10 when I pounced and as I was checking out and logging into my paypal, they went down to 4 available! That fast! 😮 Now they are none! 😮 I just lucked out this time because I usually miss these things. I’m sorry folks–for once I just got lucky and when the bills come in I’m going to pay, pay, pay! :spank: 🙄
They are both beautiful! I’m currently practicing on a Muse but have 2 pyo griffins and a winged wolf waiting for me–when I feel I’m ready to tackle them! Never painted one of these before or anything else so this should be interesting. I’m just amazed at the talent that is on this forum! Good to know I can post a project in progress and get some feedback–I’ll need lots of feedback! I love the metallic griffin–just love metallic paints–like the way they change with the light. 😀

I do hope so and that I get one this time. The fledglies are my favorite! They’re small and cute and you can have a bunch of them on a shelf! Want one in every color! 😀

I am always amazed at how fast things can appear in the store! 😮 While at work, I have the Windstone website up and check on it now and then. I view only as a guest and then come home and do my thing. Well when I shut down my computer at work–the curls were not in. Now I’m home and see this–in only about 30 minutes or so! I see how some of us can miss things like the amethyest orientals! If it’s a hot item, then it is going to move and move fast! Gotta be there at the right time. Oh well, I know some people are really disappointed but I figure in time I’ll get mine when the time is right. You just never know! 🙂
Congradulations, Tink! 🙂 He’s gorgeous–this color is starting to grow on me. That happens, I look at the picture posted and think–Naaawwww, but then I see this and it’s hmmmmmm, might get one if they become available the next time.
I am so glad that you find comfort and support here. Your mother was a beautiful woman and it’s so sad what happened to her. Rest assured that you are in our thoughts and all wish you comfort in this difficult time.
I would guess going through Windstone staff would be the best if they want to do this. Jennifer will be checking this–leave it up to her and she can tell us who to contact.
What was making me sad is that Jennifer has to sell some items that are precious to her 🙁 . Could it be done in a way that she gets to keep her pretties but we have another item up for the raffle? Just a thought and yeah, I do like the idea of a raffle. Could anyone come up with a desirable item for this raffle?
I don’t know which store Dragon Master had problems with, but when I went to the store that is closing in Oakridge, they were very nice to me. Then there was the threat that these people may be losing their jobs! In this sour economy I have been getting the best customer service even from my cable company! 😮 Too bad it takes a bad economy for companies to value their customers. I was very happy to get the items I did at 50% off, but we’ll see when they move everything to Vallco. I do want to support my local businesses and buy my Windstones from a local dealer. But if they are going to treat me badly then I rather purchase through the internet. 😛 I think we should post our experiences with our local dealers to 1) support them if they’re professional and appreciate their Windstone customers and 2) if not, hopefully it’ll get back to them that there are people who are dissatisfied with their store. Hopefully, it will encourage them to change their ways.
Too bad you’re put in a position to sell these beauties! 😮 I did send an email–just wanted to make sure you got it. Things have a way of turning around you know! :yes:
