Well… if she’s using Alphacolor pastels… we did use the same colors then! 😆
It’s really the dark color by the eyes… that’s what reminds me of the wolf i did. 😀

What… there are THREE curls right? the first (I’ve heard it refered to as Male?) coiled dragon, which I have… then the mother with the golden egg… and this curl (as seen on ebay today) Am I correct?
Heck! if there are only three… I’ll go for one of each! since I have two now!! HA HA!
I wonder if the mother coiled will ever be released in Black gold? or black emerald peacock? oooooooh. 😯

I think it’s partially because they are made in China…
But also because of the company. They don’t sell high end stuff like that… and mostly their line consists of dog and cat sculptures.
From what Sommer said… they can’t believe anyone would want to pay $40 for a horse sculpture. 😆
Glad they don’t know about the $100… and $200+ ones! HA HA! 😀
I think they will be pleasantly surprized by their numbers. So far… on other boards that I frequent… these horses have received a VERY warm welcome. I think they’ll sell well. 😀
I just hope she can sculpt more… like a donkey… and a pony… and any numerous OTHER breeds! 😀

A friend of mine, Sommer Prosser, who sculpts model horses… was commissioned by Sandicast to sculpt a new line of Original finish, Resin horses! So far she has finished three for them… as a sort of trial… to test the waters so to speak… See the pic she scanned of their catalog:
Now… these AREN’T out yet… they are on the “slow boat from China” right now… they’ll probably start hitting retailers in April/May….
But they are cast in resin… with glass eyes… and WOW do they look good! 😀
I’m so psyched about these… I want to help support Sommer in any way (hence the post). These guys were commissioned on a “royalties” basis. Meaning every model purchased… puts money in her pocket!
and the best thing… these guys are quoted at $40 each! that’s IT! for an ARTIST resin quality piece! Oh I can’t wait! 😀
I’m also insane enough to contemplate becoming a retailer of these guys. Hey I have a business license… I just need to figure out how to do it right!? 😆 We’ll see what the companies requirements are… I have emailed them…
But yeah… I thought I’d spread the word around…
And for more information… join her yahoo group! She has a very long post detailing these horses out… and any further updates will be posted there! ^.^
I’ve never seen them sold together… at least not recently… at a price I could remotely afford. 🙁

And Water… I do auction my horses from time to time… I had two this weekend that WERE going to ebay… but… someone made me and offer on BOTH of them… and well… not having to set up the auction or pay fees will be nice. 😀 Here’s hoping she pays me today!!! 😀
