Other people have done test paints in the past. Unfortunately that gallery disappeared with the transition to the new Forum.
The names I remember are PS and Brandi (both fairly recently), Olimpia (she did lap dragons, male dragons and Orientals, maybe some others), Arila (I think she did some hatching Royalty ?), and Jennifer [Miller] who did a fledgling and a mother coiled dragon that I know of.
Who am I missing?

“Blackfyre” reminds me of the “Hades Flame” scheme from a few years ago. I had this girl for a while – she was lovely! Naturally I like the “Blackfyre” pieces too. [insert smiley face that I don’t want to actually use in case someone quotes this]

Hades Flame is similar, but it didn’t attract me the way Blackfyre does. It is more like, that’s nice, but not worth the space or price. And I didn’t like Blackfyre on the coiled. But the old warrior is mine mine mine muahahaha! Given the similar poses, and therefore likely similar pattern, I will probably go for the lap, too, if that is released.

even harder time updating this thread for a while), I am in the process of buying a house! I will be closing sometime in early December, and moving shortly thereafter. Due to how small my budget is, I will most likely be without internet for some time, outside of when I hit up free wifi spots.
So, I might need quite a bit of help keeping this thread updated through the holiday, and possibly with the new thread for the first few months of next year.I won’t be traveling again until February, so I should be able to do it through January. Then someone else will need to take back over. 🙂

For the classifieds, once you complete the text portion of the ad and hit “next”, you have an option to upload up to 6 pictures from your computer. You don’t need a host site for the classifieds anymore, as far as I know.
No, you don’t need a host site for the classifieds, if your pictures are less than 1 MB. But if your pics are bigger, and look too grainy after shrinking (or, for the non-computer types, you’d rather figure out how to link than how to shrink), then you can use the method I described to link to higher resolution pics on a host site.
What OS do you use that gives you a right-click option called “copy link location”? I’m using Windows 7, and the option I get is just called “copy”. I had assumed that copied the actual photo as a bitmap, but when I tested the various options, it copied the link.

On the forum and in PMs, you need to use a host site. You also need a host site for ads if you want to use higher resolution images.
But the link you need to copy-paste is not always the same!For flickr, as of this morning:
PMs & Forum: The link provided by flickr under Share-> Share works best.
Ads: The link provided by flickr under Share -> Embed works after you delete half of it. I can provide details if you like.For photobucket:
PMs & Forum: use the link provided by photobucket labeled “IMG” or the one labeled “Direct”. Either work. “html” also works on the forum, but not in PMs.

WHA’ HAPPEN TO THE ADS????
All the embedded pictures and links have vanished! They are still there when I go to edit my ads, but they aren’t visible in the completed ads – mine or anyone else’s. Only the photos uploaded to this site show.Okay, I saw Kim’s ad showing linked pics, and looked at the source. It looks like it is the “a href=” tag that is not working anymore. Anything enclosed in that tag disappears. This also means I can’t include a link to someone else’s ad in mine. 🙁
I wish it wouldn’t keep changing what kind of links work! First, just entering the URL to the photo worked as long as it was http and not https. Then that stopped working, and I had to enclose the jpg URL in an IMG tag. Then that stopped working, and I had to switch to flickr’s “share” link, which was a shortcut URL. Now, that isn’t working, and I have to go back to the original “embed” link, but delete the “a href” tag from around the IMG tag.
