I am really enjoying everyone’s furbabies! π
Here is my Gemini (so named because she had a twin brother in the litter). She is now about 15 years old.
She loves to lay like this, all cute with her belly exposed, and stare at us until we notice her cuteness. But if we try to rub her belly she’ll get up and walk away. Such a tease. π
This is how she would like to spend most of her time. She can’t resist an afghan-blanketed lap.
That is one cool cat! I really like his blue markings, and the shape of his ears, and his tail, and and andβ¦ π
Glass beads hold up in the oven just fine. I’ve done it many times. Just make sure it’s actually glass. (It’s always a good idea to test them in the oven before using them in a sculpture, if you’re not sure.) You might be interested in these “cat’s eye” beads; I just used them in a dragon sculpture:
http://www.firemountaingems.com/details.asp?PN=H207437MDpurpleturtle mentioned the Van Dykes Taxidermy site; they have some incredibly beautiful eyes too. Most of them tend to be too large for the scale that I usually work in.
Super Sculpey is a polymer clay. It will not explode in the oven, but it may crack. I used to use Super Sculpey and had terrible cracking issues with it (and a beautiful piece was ruined — I did cry for days). I use Puppen Fimo now (another brand of polymer clay), but some people do have success with Super Sculpey. MAKE SURE you use an oven thermometer, because most ovens are very inaccurate, and Super Sculpey can be quite unforgiving if it’s not baked at the right temperature.
I love Odd Ida! The slightly odd ones are the best, in my opinion. π
I *love* the copper patina coloring. I just added 4 dragons to my wish list. π
This is one of my latest creations, The Wizard’s Foundling. I’ll be sad to part with him, but hopefully someone will give him a loving home. π (He is on eBay this week.)
You can read his story here at my blog.
Critiques welcome!

Boskydragon, you are an angel! I’m glad you rescued this guy. He reminds me a bit of my horse that I had when I was a kid.
I was going to say, “I collect dust,” but Nirvanacat and Nambroth beat me to it. π
I collect:
-
Feathers
Pretty stones, driftwood, pinecones, other natural materials
Art supplies
Images — I have thousands and thousands of reference images and inspiration images on my computer and from magazines
Art books, especially fantasy art
One-of-a-kind artworks — my collection is small but I plan to add at least one piece a year, on my birthday π
Fantasy novels and movies
Anime that I like (especially but not exclusively by Miyazake)
Unusual jewelry
Other things I can’t think of…I used to collect Breyer horses. I still have a bunch of them.

It would be what it is. π I’m a sculptor, and I get to make whatever I want. I just need to get faster at it if I want to make more than sweatshop wages… (… but luckily we don’t have to depend on my income.)
Oh, and a big workshop with power tools and lots of space to make BIG pieces would be nice. π I don’t ask for much…
