Given space restrictions we decided to avoid multiples of the same mold and stick to the fav colr for each mold-still come up a little short on space-oh what to do about spectrals-I’d feel cheated if I don’t keep 1 each of thoseEmerald, just type in Pulaski curio into a google search, and oh so many hits will come up. Take some time to browse and check pricing as it varies wildly. You can also some times get a coupon code off the internet for some of the furniture stores. Idon’t remember the store but the model is Pulaski golden oak II. hope that helps. The cabinet really looks good with windstones in it
if you have kiddies or crazy pets the locking sliding door is a must, and almost no dust gets in, if you get a Pulaski you’ll love it–and no I don’t work for Pulaski
I am cool with BT, I got the curio at an online furniture store, it is a Pulaski Curio, they are probably the number one makers in the US. it has a sliding door, a light and it locks.
Unfortunately, when I ordered the curio, I came up about a foot too small on the width, the goal is to have one of each type of dragon, and 1 of each color, I think we’ll have to exclude any spectrals to accomplish the goal-that stinks, but we keep tinkering with the final group til we get it just right——-you’re probably surprised how modest a collection it is
Hey Basilisk, I love your name, many years ago I was a professional reptile breeder. I worked with many super rare species of lizards, one of which was the plumed basilisk from Costa Rica, a true living Windstone dragon, I actually hatched about 20 of your namesakes. You know they can run on water- AKA the Jesus Christ lizard, but I assume you know that already. well anyway cool name…
Oh and Nessie we nedd to see some pics……..Don’t know if it would better to see Mr. brown or your smile….
back to the mother coiled fix job – its not an award winner, yet I had trouble picking it up-I only looked at her briefly and then put her away-over the wknd I’ll try to figure out where we put her and take a second look. LOL we have a windstone log jam in here, the little ones sometimes take quite a while to find, where we put them…..chaos
Like I said before Nessie- after your past experience you are the most deserving-and trust me we’re doing a little war dance that he arrived the way he went out=I would have gone postal had he met his maker in shipping-feel like we just accomplished a successful organ transplant- can my wife pack or what…..
we got all the mother coileds in this last shipment, I THINK we’re going to keep the peacock. I was putting the emerald away, when I noticed the tip of her tail had a repair job done on it. I will probably put this one on auction shortly.
my mother for years, thought Windstones were the ugliest , stupidest things she’d ever seen, its quite amusing how they change their tune when they find out what they sell for- now she loves Ki-rins—-go figure
she was quite stunning the moment we unpacked her, thought long and hard about keeping her. Mother coileds in excellent condition of any color are almost impossible to find- glad you’re happy
thank you all for the warm greetings, I was nervous about this, but feel much better now.
I just wanted to let you guys know-again you guys-
that we’ll be bouncing in and out when the kiddies and your many purchases allow- today an entire truck load went out-ouch. This is getting harder than my real job and the kiddies, but it will slow down soon.
I’m pretty sure anyone who bought and paid, your babies are on their way, that includes the big brown fellow. We found a new way to pack these, that I suspect will be even better than before-let me know when they arrive.
1st question is about layaway. We’ve been wrestling with that for a while. I don’t love the idea, because it wreaks havoc with our inventory and accounting system, which is at a 3rd grade level admittedly. But that being said it may need to be a policy we figure out how to handle-its our problem not yours. I originally avoided that for protection from ebay weirdos- but have never had a problem with a forum member-so if we can keep it quiet, I think we’ll go forward starting in April. Hope thats fair.
As for where does all this stuff come from, briefly here it is….
Our opening inventory consisted of my twisted buying habits over the years-quite a few years- roughly 300 pcs- yes I have or had issues
when that was gone I knew where a few massive collections were and bought them all, thats another 200 pcs or so.
tried the ebay thing- that wasn’t so goodthe rest I just get lucky and run into them here and there- thats all told maybe 60 pcs
so currently the grand total approximately 614 pcs-but again our inventory counts are primitive at best
thanks again
I do remember that- it was one of our first shipping disasters- we were all pretty lucky I had back up on that piece. THANK GOD there has only been 1 or 2 since then and not on that level.
And of course we’ll take any requests, but I will warn you that its getting ridiculously tough to get most retired pieces- last year all I had to do was snap my fingers and there it was —sadly those days seem to be gone
