I wasn’t sure of the first one but looked up info on the military dogs and found this site: http://www.militaryworkingdogadoptions.com/ ; is that the one you were talking about? I am a military veteran myself (US Army Military Police) & often worked with the handlers of these dogs; I can’t imagine them being put down still healthy.

I do know about with the horse rescue though; it is the PMU rescue (PMU stands for Pregnant Mare Urine, which has been harvested from pregnant mares for use in hormone replacement therapy drugs for women since the 1940’s.): http://www.pmurescue.org/

      So many worthy charities.

Abatos, did you take any postable pics before you sent the Uni off? Looking forward to seeing it!

I did take some photos but wasn’t sure if I had to wait for Fauxbird to post them :). Thanks so much! She was my very first PYO.
As soon as more unicorns are available, a Friesian inspired one is going to be next ;). I’m thinking of a strong blue-black for her.

Heehee, I checked out your deviant art site and saw your friesian series which is why I got interested in seeing your first PYO! 😉

Really, really love that silver bengal but he’s just too pricey for me right now. 🙁

Sorry if this isn’t supposed to be here; I wasn’t sure where the best place to ask this question would be. 😳

Is anyone out there one or can you reccomend a really good model horse painter? For a while now I’ve wanted to get my hands on a certain model as the model is based off my horse’s sire (Pyt 325) & it really looks just like my guy. I’ve found one that is a great price but he’s already been painted a shaded dun & I would like him black like my horse so here I am. 🙂 I actually have a friend who is a pretty well known artist but she is booked forever (and really pricey! Heh!).

I’m not looking to show this horse or anything like that; just want him at home. I don’t know much about painting but I do know I want him a true black and not a sunburt black like I’ve seen alot of the friesian models have been painted. So whoever paints him is going to need to know how to get some depth on the model without using brown. 😉

Anyways if you have any suggestions of painter please either reply here or PM me. I’d especially appreciate it if you can link me to the artists past work & even better if there are examples of all black past horses.

                    Thank you!

I just came on here to post the same thing so I’m quoting. 😉 Nirvanacat13 is awesome!

WOW. I’m not a Dragon person (Unicorns, flap cats and Poads for me!) but I love to look at the Dragon paint jobs and this one is just stunning. Not entering the raffle but I just wanted to post my compliments!

Eagle, I’m gonna hijack your thread, sorry! Crimson, the wings and your gowns (here and on other threads) are just wonderful! What would the man wear to be paired with the woman in a gown like this one, say for a wedding?

Thank you! Well, it really depends on the man! That style of dress is pretty popular so I’ve seen men do various things to match. I’ve seen them wear medieval type clothing. I seen them wear kilts; both full historically accurate scottish type ones and I’ve seen black leather or camo ones. I’ve seen men do a victorian tailcoat type of outfit.

So it really does depend on what the man likes. 🙂 If any of those sound interesting I could go photo hunting.

I was wondering what it was like to do your hair up like Danielle in Ever After? Was it hard? I keep on leaning back towards that picture of you on your website.

Yay for wings for the faire! 🙂

It was a bit tricky to get my hair like that; the piece you see twisted over the top of my head is actually an added hair piece. I bought some wefts of human hair & dyed it to match my own hair, twisted it in with pearls and then pinned it in. My actual hair is in a bun at the nape of my neck where the ends of the hairpiece are hidden as well.

You might be able to catch a glimpes of what I describe in this pic:

The charity I personally donate to all the time (have money come out of my check weekly direct deposited to them, it’s handy!) is the DFW Pug Rescue: http://www.dfwpugs.com/

I know that is a little ‘specific’ (but would be thrilled if they did get a donation) so I would suggest as well the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals: http://www.aspca.org/. I know we are all animal lovers on here!
