Hey everyone!
So I’ve had a few people PM me with suggestions & requests on the next gift swap. It started out with the suggestion of a Valentines swap & a few people suggested Easter to give people more time to recover $$-wise from the holidays. I was thinking maybe we have a ‘Spring Swap’ and do it in the middle of March? That way we can give people a little more time and make March a little more exciting for all!
Thoughts?
Also, I think I put forth a pretty thorough list of questions for the Holiday swap; should we change or add any? I will make sure that no one gets the same person they did in the Holiday swap but I wanted to see if anyone thought we should edit it at all.

I still have nothing nor have I heard from the person I sent to???DM, did you put Delivery Confirmation on the package on your swapee’s gift like you should have? You can check to see if its been delivered that way. It is a busy time of year.
In that vein of things, please be patient on getting your gifts too. Some people have had delays but I know everyone is working on it!
Well I got my package off yesterday; the postage cost me more than we were supposed to spend on the swap alone. Erk! I completely forgot to ask how long it was going to take to get there, here’s hoping it gets there soon! :p
Anyways! A few people have emailed / posted that they are having to delay mailing their packages vor various reasons so I am asking everyone to be patient on seeing their presents. The delays are only a few days & no one has told me that they are not able to mail at all so I am still confident everyone will eventually get their swaps. This is one of the reasons why I wanted to set the mailing date quite a while before the actual holidays (although if you are Jewish, Happy Hanukkah starting tonight!) to give people a little wiggle room.
I’ll start working on the Valentine’s Day swap details this weekend, will change up the questions a little maybe too? Also, if people have thoughts on the schedule to get people their swaps by Feb 14th I’d appreciate PMs with info! 🙂

Anyone ever see ‘Fire and Ice Roses’?
I was thinking that color scheme might be cool but then on the otherhand it may look too much like ‘peppermint’ or something.

Cuuuute! We used to have a bright blue one of those guys in our fishtank; we called him Zoidberg (any other Futurama fans out there?). He passed away after a moulting accident though; pulled off his own front claws at the shoulder socket while trying to moult. He was an ornery little guy!
The person that won might have bid alot more but Ebay ups the price little by little until it’s just over the next highest bid. So it might seem like they juuuuuuust outbid you but they might have been willing to pay alot more.
I guess alot of us were watching that auction, huh? 😉

Glad to see it’s looking like most people are on track. No worries about mailing off tomorrow; I might actually have to do the same. 🙁 Waiting to hear back from someone I need to meet tonight to see if I can get to the PO after work like I planned; he was supposed to come last night but called 30 minutes after he was supposed to be there & rescheduled. Grr! I’m going to send out via Priority mail to see that it gets there asap.
Looking forward to seeing what other goodies everyone is getting! 🙂 I’ll be happy to help organize one of these again. We should think of other reasons to do gift exchanges. I know *I* don’t want to wait another year to do this again! LOL!
We don’t actually have our tree up yet (hoping to get it this weekend) but I have some pics of previous years. We decorate the same every year just with a new live tree so it will look the same. 😉

Remember the pug necklace I mentioned Jen of Parrish Relics was making me? Well, she just sent me final pics and is mailing it off today! I can’t wait to get it!

A friend of mine actually made the wings for me (just realized that the only place I mention that on my site page is in really small letters near the bottom! Well, I really hope she goes to a forum member. I always am so much happier when a piece I really like goes home to someone I ‘know’ on here.
