Count me in. By the way is – CrimsonVision.net – a website or email address?
crimsonvision.net is my website; you need to add the ‘Traci@’ in front of it. I don’t want to type it out in a link on a public forum as I get plenty of spam already thankyouverymuch. 😉
Great! I have two people’s info so far:
Greater Basilisk

I’m leery of new bath products, I find myself allergic to most of them.
Especially since the dead sea spa people jumped me. I thought I was gonna scar from the horrible rash I got!
Hopefully the LUSH stuff will work for you; they have the ingredients on their site (http://www.lushusa.com) if you click through to each products pages to make sure.
Glad you like your goodies! I think the second pair of earrings is indeed plastic but I thought they looked sorta like moonstone so I took a chance when I picked up the lab & pearl ones. The first pair is the real deal though!
I hpoe you like the Lush products; it’s truly an addiction for me! Was hard to pick out stuff for you since you like smells pretty much in opposition to what I like! LOL! The salesperson was pretty frustrated with me.
Since the Winter swap was such fun & most everyone has gotten their gifts (a few stragglers but that’s due to the post office and not the forum members) it’s time to start the Spring Swap! We decided it would be best to have something to look forward to in between Valentine’s & Easter so here it is! Please pay attention to the schedule; I’ve given people almost a month to sign up so hopefully everyone that wants to take part in this sees this topic in time. 😉
I have changed some of the information & questions so please read it through & send your current answers!
What it is: If you enlist, your name gets thrown into a hat. You will receive the name of one person, and someone else will receive your name. Your goal is to put together a small care package for that person. Letters, candles, incense, chocolate, bath goodies, foodie goods, craft-store finds, etc. Something nice to brighten his or her day. You might even get a new friend out of the deal.
Timeline:
January 4th, 2010 — Sign-ups open
January 31, 2010 — Sign-ups close
February 1, 2010 — Swapper notifications
February 15, 2010 — The last day to notify me of a back-up need
March 1, 2010 — Last Day to put packages in the mailGeneral Guidelines:
— All US domestic packages MUST have shipping confirmation/a tracking number.
— It is suggested you include at least 3 items in your package if you are geting smaller gifts; if you wish to send one large item that is fine too.
— General price range will be $25 – $35 total spent on gift items, though if you’d like to invest more, that’s fine. And $25 is not a mandatory minimum that you have to spend– if you’re good at crafts or you have a knack for finding thrift store treasures, that’s cool, too.
— Please, please, do not ask to participate if you are unsure about your ability to follow through on your end. Yes, there are generous people who have and will throw together back-up packages so that no one gets left out. No, that does not mean that it’s okay to flake. Please note: February 15th is the absolute last date to tell me that you need to bow out.Got it?
To participate, please fill out this questionnaire and send it to Traci at CrimsonVision dot net (please make sure to type out my email the correct way rather than just copying and pasting; trying to avoid spammers!), with the subject line “Windstone Forum Spring Gift Swap”

I will assign swappers/swappees and mail you your recipient’s questionnaire. I will also keep a list of swappers/swapees, so if someone doesn’t send their package, I’ll know, and will find some way to compensate.
Everybody, have fun!

We’ve been in counceling for about a year now, the 31st is just our next appointment. it’s been a HARD year. 😳
Dragons4Life wrote:Well I’m still shaking my head here because I can’t understand why he didn’t use the Christmas list you went through the trouble of writing. 😕
If a Wii wasn’t on your list, then you obviously didn’t want it. The best thing for him to do is admit his mistake, return it, and get you something you DO want. Epecially if you are getting him things from his lists, right? It only makes sense to me! 🙂
I don’t get it either especially since he is the one that is so big on the present lists. Yep, I got him his big present from his list but did get him a few things that weren’t on his list too but only because he mentioned needing a few of them & then got several tshirts that i knew he would like (which he loved).
I do admit that I do put a whole lot of meaning into gifts; I do it when I give them & unfortunately look for it when getting them. Might make me a bad person for it but whatcanyado.
Well, for better or worse we had a discussion today (via IM, we are both at work) in regards to this and I told him that I truly feel it wasn’t just a gift for me. Went back and forth for a while with the conversation finally ending with the agreement to talk to our therapist (who we see on the 31st) about it. Fun.
Now I just have to figure out what the heck I want to do with the Wii. Either keep it and eventually get the yoga game I wanted when money gets a little more abundant or return it & get something else? I can’t win 100% either way.
*sigh*
Thanks for the support everyone. 🙂 it’s just what I needed to see; that I amnot being unreasonable. :p
I just won myself a black birdwing flapcat to match the batwing one I got in the swap; that makes me feel better. Going to go peruse the ebay auctions before going to be to make sure I shouldn’t get *him* anything else. 😉
Phoenix wrote:So buy him a nice set of diamond earrings! 😀 Or what ever was on your list…
Some times you have to smack them over the head.
How long have you been married/dating?Heehee, now that’ s an idea I can get behind. 😉
We’ve been married for just over three years & were together for 2 before that. Not so long in the grand scheme of things & this year has been especially rough. But it seems 2009 has been that way for everyone.
Heh, we actually do have online ‘wish lists’; he’s actually the one that started that trend as his wishlist is kept updated year round and he often urges me to do the same. Not sure why as he never gets me stuff off it.
He’s already unwrapped it, set it all up as well as made accounts for both himself & me. If I tell him to take it back I will *never* hear the end of it. I let him know that I didn’t like the gift he got me LAST year which was a really crappy cell phone & that is constantly thrown back in my face.
I *DO* want to get that yoga game thing and you need the console to do so but the fact that he didn’t bother to look into that and just got what he wanted to get is why I am so hurt. I tried suggesting that we return the extra controller (after all, if it was *JUST a gift for me as he claims now why would we need more than one controller?) and use that money to buy the Yoga game I want he got angry. It wasn’t worth fighting with him at that point.
I’m mostly just venting. 🙄
