Craigslist is tough to find things on; you just have to check regularly and be quick. If you think the item is really worth what they’re asking you can say you’re willing to pay that. Most people on CL lowball like crazy.
Any used furniture stores where you are?
I also like peeking in to thrift shops. You definitely just have to get lucky but I’ve seen nice cases there.
I also ordered a custom curio shelf from an ebay seller called fwdisplay / Fine Wood Display and I gotta say he was AWESOME and the materials are very nice and sturdy. It’s more pricey but I have a shelf perfect for my Fledgies now, after giving up finding a ready-made one that would fit my weird specs.
Has this guy shown up yet? He was the piece I loved who reminded me most of my Grail piece, GB Puma #5.
If you receive[d] him, and don’t absolutely love him, I’d really be ecstatic for the chance to own him.

I received this gorgeous boy in a trade and he hasn’t shown off here, so I figured I’d post him. His paint job is incredible – he reminds me of a moth. No idea what Melody was going for here, but he’s stunning. He goes from black to brown, to metallic gold to almost silver highlights. He has adorable little spots. He really reminds me of one of the fantasy colts from the last batch! I’ve included him in various lights as he changes quite a bit. When he’s in artificial light he looks like he glows from within!

Finally got a chance to upload some glamour shots of my Cougar. OMG you guys I LOVE her. <3 I thought it might be too much to hope for a fantasy one and I couldn't feel luckier that this one found her way to me. 🙂
Ooooooooh, Copper and Serendipity, yours are just beautiful!!! I’ve been waiting for that King Leopard to show up, that was one of my favorites.

OMG!!!!!!!!!! That is the one that I got and I am just over the moon for her! I took pics today but wasn’t able to post yet.

I’ve done horn pulls on a few pieces. Young Unis are not too bad.
Susie is wonderful about sending replacement horns, if there are extras around. If you end up deciding to keep the Uni, it’s a doable repair.
Ahhhh I really like mine. 🙂 He even has some magic invisible paint across the black markings on his shoulders. So cute!
I can’t find this one in the class photos though. And he has a silver horn….
There are a handful I’d trade this one for but I think they’re long shots. Love the gray ones. So I’d be pretty happy to have this one stay with me too. 🙂
I’m so glad I managed to snag one from this batch. I’ve been working so much lately, I’ve barely had time for fun things and I’ve missed the last few GB batches. 😛

If you don’t mind me asking, where do you buy the rocks your Windstone’s stand on? They look really nice.Aw thanks. The display stones are actually made of carved and polished wood. I bought a few from my mom to put my Windstones on. She’s really into buying/selling gems and minerals and uses them to display her pieces. She’s getting ready to move soon though so might be interested to sell the ones she has at cost. I’ll ask her about them. I absolutely LOVE them for my Windstones. 🙂 I only have a few smaller ones but she has a bunch in that similar carved style, some big enough for a Lap Dragon.

Well said. Losing Robin really hit me hard. I’ve known about his struggles with depression for a long time and always looked up to him as a role model for coping with depression.
I can’t even find the words to express how sad this is or how much I feel for his family. 🙁
People who cope with lifelong, chronic depression get good at hiding it, putting on the brave face. I hope that this gives people a reminder to cherish Robin’s memory and body of amazing work, and also to reach out to the people still around, who are still trying to fight the battle.
We lost a respected soldier with Robin, along with so much more. <3
I watched The Birdcage, and Patch Adams, so far. 🙂 What movies have you guys watched to remember him? What's your favorite?
