One of the many great things about living in Alaska is we don’t have a lot of bugs! No roaches, fleas, ticks, even crickets. However, we do have mosquitoes that are about the size of pterodactyls. That may make up for some things XD
I’ve lived up here for about 10 years and this is the first time since I’ve been here that SLUGS have been hitchhiking onto my dogs’ fur when they go outside. These aren’t the yellow banana slugs I’m used to in to continental U.S. They are smaller, and grey. But still YUCKY. I usually make my husband do “slug checks” but he went to bed early one night, so I had the unfortunate duty.
My littler shih tzu comes insides, and lo and behold, two slugs tangled up in her leg fur.
I got them out with a paper towel and was unsure what to do with them. I was afraid they would crawl back up the trashcan or something. I decided to put salt on them. BAD IDEA. I saw their little eye stalks retract in their head (in what I assumed was pain) and I started freaking out.(Not too sure what I was expecting >_>) Woke up my husband, saying “I’m a monster!!” crying on how I am a terrible person and I should have just let them go like I do other bugs. At the time, I was going through pretty emotional stuff anyways and I guess that was the icing on the cake. My husband thought I was crazy, but I hate hurting anything! I was the kid who yelled at other kids for stepping on ant hills because “they worked so hard on that hill and that’s their home!!” XDWas just wondering if any more grab bag -anything- are being planned in the near future! By no means asking for ETAs, just curious as to what the plans are 😀

Hannah's zombie pieces are so amazing!I just didn’t remember the small wizard having a pink ring, the base looked off (too small?), the dragon looked blobby and unfinished (no eyes)…the overall proportions just looked off to me, much more shrunken munchkin than those normally look in photos. Plus, the seller said it was a new Windstone, but only had the one photo and no other information…it just struck me as odd. Since I don’t own a wizard and it’s been awhile since I have seen them in person, I did compare it against the wizards in the store first too and it just didn’t look right to me. But john already told me it was probably real, just a really bad photo. Sorry for wasting your time, I just thought it would be better to report and be sure than not, but maybe I shouldn’t have. Sorry. 🙁
I can definitely see why you would think he looks weird! I don’t know if it’s a mix between the camera angle and the flash that is washing him out, because he looks like he is lacking detail. Also, you have a really good point with the rings being different colors! You are most certainly not wasting anyone’s time! It’s good to be vigilant! 😀

Here’s my fireplace setup. I have the griffin and wolf candlelamp flanking the TV. The thin cable running between them are tiny lights that light up when it gets dark on a timer. The moon and stars hanging from the mantle glow a gorgeous turquoise at night, really gives a magical feel!

The best thing for you to handle this, in my opinion, would be to approach her and say, “Hi Your Majesty. I overheard you saying something along the lines of the Creative department not putting any thought into our work…what did you mean by that?”
Saying this puts her on the spot AND lets her clarify herself if she needs to. It’s not confrontational, won’t cause office drama, but lets her know that -you- know and that it is unacceptable.
Nice catch, Puff! I was way too distracted with the foreground to notice anything back there! 😀 I definitely like whatever I’m seeing!
