Since Melody started doing the raffles there has been one nearly every month. Usually once the new month hits a forum member starts a thread asking what the new piece is. To be included in a raffle you have to email, not PM, Melody for each month you would like to be entered in.

Pop Tarts.When my children were youngins,pop tarts were very cheap and actually had FILLING in them.I bought a box for my grand-children,way higher priced and is about 1/2 inch thick with coloring in the middle.They used to barely go down into the toaster,now,you have to dig it out XD

Do you have a copy of your notes to him? If it were me, I’d make him pay you a full refund. If he ‘forgot’ to put insurance on it (and you have a record of asking for it) then I’d put in a complaint with Paypal, they should rule in your favor. It IS his fault, not USPS, if he packed incorrectly and forgot insurance. He should refund you.

Well, I did not send me a copy of the emails. That was my stupidity but, that won’t happen again. I did though contact him through ebay, contact seller. So, hopefully I can still get a copy of them. I talked to my mail lady to see why everything was comming to me broken. She said that they have a bin as tall as 6 foot. They just chunk them over the top of this bin. So some of these problems could be from USPS. But this case I am blaming him because he didn’t remember to get insurance. All of my friends that seen the piece and how it was broke to the way he was put in the box that the person broke it before putting it in the box. I recieved a response from him and he said that I didn’t request insurance. What a fraud.

Oh yeah, I got enough guts to open the pack to get good pictures of it and seen that it is AS bad as I thought. He is broke up pretty bad but, it is only from the chest up. Some of his shoulder is there and the ball is still on the sculpt.

Gad, I can’t even remember…I’ve had other freelance sculpting and illustration jobs, but nothing that turned into anything significant. I have the wrong temperament to do work for other people. I did sandpaintings for years, which probably doesn’t count…production work.
I had a comic strip which was published in our local newspaper for a very short time. I thought I wanted to be a “strip” cartoonist until I did that! Oy vey,Though I still dream about finishing my graphic novel.
John and I started selling the Alberti Design prints when I was right out of college.( I really need to post pics of that old line of prints somewhere, I don’t think there is a complete collection online anywhere.There are still a few well hidden prints in our online store http://www.windstoneeditions.com/artprintspg.htm) That was our full time job, and a few years after that we found ourselves with Windstone.
