Why didn’t that auction come up whenI typed in “windstone”??
frozendragon wrote:yeah I had the whole set(4 main dragons) of peacocks at one time…
and had to have money fast…
I ended up selling them for $250 for the set
but at that time…they were still current…and everywhere
Bummer. I was just watching two sets on ebay, the exact total escapes me, but I do know it wasn’t a deal really. And the one lot they were all damaged. i think it was mama, junior, and an egg for $150 for the group. Something like that.
Wish I had gotten into these just a little sooner, when the rainbows and peacocks were current and a little cheaper 😀 I love those rainbows
frozendragon wrote:honestly it’s up to the person…I’ve seen them go for more or less…if you want it…go for it…
and the chips are always fixable…so I never worry about those…unless it’s something broken completely off
I’m the high bidder, guess we’ll see what happens. gotta sell some horses and try to get a couple bucks in paypal to snatch her.
I was wathcing a couple lots on ebay, with a mama in them, and it seems like even with the lots, you don’t get a “deal”. They always go for about the value of teh whole group. that’s kinda cool. I’ve seen with horses a lot where if you buy a lot, sometimes you get all the horses for the price of one or two. it’s just nice to see that these are an investment.
Sorry, just me rambling 🙄
frozendragon wrote:not sure how to say it any different…but there is more than one peacock…and I’m thinking more than two…the ones that recently retired were the brightest and most vibrant peacock…before that was a darker richer peacock…and then there’s the ones that are like that one….kind of muted and not quite as popping in the colors…
Guess I’ll have to just go with what I like the most. I like this gal. Is she worth any more than the newer peacocks? Or are they all worth bascially(besides chips, ect) the same.
starbreeze wrote:Yes, the older peacock is a bit darker and more muted. They have a different finish on them I think. I’m not the best person to describe the difference. But, I do like the older peacock too.
cool.
I just think she’s purdy. I even showed him to hubby, and hubby said mama dragon is his favorte mold. that’s the one that looks “the most like a real dragon”.starbreeze wrote:She does look nice in the pics. It looks to me like she’s the original peacock, not the brighter peacock that just retired. I have an OW in that coloring and he’s one of my favorites.
😯 There’s two peacocks? Or, are the older ones darker, the newer retired ones brighter? I just thinkshe’s got gorgious color.
I really want this release of this mama dragon, but I have a question. do they all look like this and most of the pix I see are just really crappy, or is this one a lot nicer than most? She has some nice browns and stuff, i think she’s gorgious. I’ll be bidding for sure (yes, I’m still really broke. hopefully her commonness and her chips will make her cheap 😀 )

Well, we all survivied 😀 . Every time I called, I could hear Chloe playing quietly in the backround. She got changed, fed, and even played with. And now, hubby realizes why some days NOTHING gets done 😯The one thing, she didn’t really seem to notice I was gone 🙁 . Hubby said every so often she would just stop and look around. But, she wasn’t fussy, and we played when i got home for a bit before she went to bed. the whole day was awsome(my custom horses kicked butt), and I’m so glad it went smoothly, becasue now we’re all geared up to hit show season with full steam.
thanks for everyone’s supposrtive posts. 😀
OH. And Michelle didn’t get called once 😀 😯
March 3, 2007 at 2:26 am in reply to: Question for Parents(of children, not windstones haha) #545641I agree, daddy does need to spend more time, but honestly, he does what he can when he can. He owns a buisness that’s just starting to take off, he’s part of the National responce team for Office Depot which flies him all over the place for weeks on end, and he’s going to college full time. Doesn’t leave anyone much time. that’s why i stay at home, so Chloe has at least one parent to play with 😀
She loves going to Michelle’s because with 6 kids, there’s ALWAYS someone who wants to play something. It’s cute. She’s very shy of adult men though.
Daddy’s gonna watch her all day, and over than being really nervious about food/nap/snuggle time, he’s excited. I’m glad. Plus, Michelle’s right up the road.
YUPPERS, I’ll be competing, and playing dealer. I’m excited. As longas this show goes well, I’ll be going to a lot more. I’m so excited, it’s been MONThS since the last show. Stupid winter weather!
I’ll sign on tomorrow night and let ya’ll know how it went!!! (daddy and Chloe…and the show 🙄 )
frozendragon wrote:neither one of those updates at all, I did find some things at one place….but I only saved the phone number….but they didn’t have what I was looking for….
I did an MSN search for windstones….and called every store….most don’t update the site….several were extremely rude and said windstone had retired just about everything….
and one was hateful…..and said they were pulling the site down because they no longer carried windstone….
Gosh, that’s awful!
I hate people who don’t update thier sites. I feel like a tard when mine goes for a WEEK without getting updated. My buisness ones is eating me alive because i want to redo it, i just don’t have time. But I sure as beans get stuff off there when I don’t have it. And I’m not rude to anyone looking for it. that’s just awful. Not a good way to get return customers!I tried to order coiled dragons from several of those sites, but they were all sold out 🙁

The house is never clean, the kids always need a bath and no laundry gets done, but they all had fun together.
Let us know how it goes!!
awe. that would be cute 😀
Awsome! Congrates!
March 1, 2007 at 10:51 pm in reply to: Question for Parents(of children, not windstones haha) #545633You guys are so great 😀 I wasn’t expecting so many people to chime in. Donno why, this is a pretty talkative group 😀
You know, when Chloe was a baby I was so sure there was nothing better in the world that an iddy biddy baby. Now that she’s becoming a small person though, gosh, I’m not sure there’s anthing more fun. A LOT more work. And a lot shorter afternoon nap 😆 , but oh man, she’s just too cool. She’s into everything. She’s SO curious. She loves shopping, playing, being read to, and she even helps me clean (you know, in toddler make a huge mess kinda way). And she smiles at me, talks, it’s just so funny.
Wonder if when she’s a teen, I’ll think GOSH, there’s just nothing better than teen years. I hope so.
Although, I feel old now. I’m a “mrs. fry” to all of the kids aroud here. They sell me girlscout cookies, and treat me like I’m an adult or something. It’s weird. I’m 26, but I guess I never really thought of myself as a REAL adult til Chloe came along. 😯

But your little one’s going to go to school one day! You have to remember that no matter how much you fear for her, she’ll be fine with Michelle, and with her future teachers…
And I agree. I’m kind of shocked that at 11 months, she’s never been alone with daddy. I think it’s best for the both of you to each have time alone with your daughter and time alone-alone!
Go to your show and concentrate only on that. Michelle will be fine with Chloe – and Chloe will have a blast with the other kids!
I remember when Chinook (my daughter) was 1 year and a half. We went to this barbecue where we hardly knew anybody. As soon as we stepped into the house, she spotted the kids there and we didn’t see her again until it was time to go home. I think she had a better time than we did! And right now, she 8 and she just landed in France where she’ll spend the next 3 weeks with her grand-parents! It’s quality time all around for the whole familly.
Remember that you’re not alone in raising your child, and that you need to have your own life too. Have fun!
don’t get me wrong, Chris loves her and does play with her, but I think he’s afraid to be alone with her! At any rate, he told me he’s going to watch her “as long as he can” THEN take her to Michelle’s. I was surprised. But, he’s really supportive about me going to shows, he always has been, and he kinda likes that now someone stays home with Chloe, so he doesn’t have to go with me anymore haha.
I’m actually a stay at home mom. I run a buisness that was faily small until just recently, now suddenly it seems to be triple what it was a few months ago. But, I do know I need to have someone else watch Chloe every once in a while. I have a great life, and she cracks me up, but she’s got a lot of stranger anxiety’s now that I’d like to see broken. I’m no horibly social, (in person, on the computer I never shut up) but I’d like her to be a litle better adjusted 😆
