It’s a two part resin. You mix two of equal parts, and you have about an hour, maybe more, I donno, before it gets hard. This stuff I’ve sanded after it gets hard, and I paint over it. It’s nice stuff, I like it. I just figure it’ll be better to market the other stuff if I actually use it haha.

You’d really think it wouldn’t be a big deal to pack something the way the winner wants. As long as they’re paying for the shipping, why not just do as they ask and box each one seperately? It can’t be that much of a hassle… 😕

    No kidding.

They will never make it. Not all of them together. Maybe two to a box. If they do insist on a single box ask for bubble wrap and newspaper. No packing chips. Packing chips can and will compress.

I can just see all those horns battling it out. No one will be victorious! I can’t watch, I’ve seen it happen before. 😥

Apparently everyone harrassing her talked her into “double boxing” but not every one with thier own, just one box inside another. Not sure that that will really make much of a difference.

Perhaps I’ll get lucky enough, and the damage will be minimul. At the price they are at now, i can repaint them and do ok.

Yeah- apparently, even if you buy insurance, if the post office thinks it wasn’t packed properly (which when it’s a claim apparently means a nuclear warhead dropped on it wouldn’t faze it) they’ll deny the claim. I bought a dragon once which was very well double boxed, but the outer carton was damaged when it got here (and of course the dragon was smashed despite all the packing). It took me almost 6 months of fighting the denied claim to get my money. All the post office fighting it, the seller was very helpful to me.

Yeah, I had a problem with a horse I got a while ago, very porly packed, ect.

i’m going to see if they will ship them some other way, like UPS. Parsel post is a death sentence.

I don’t even insure stuff anymore for the *most* part. Big ticket stuff I still will, but I tell my customers, I know how to pack, save your money. You know? I haven’t had anything get damaged in 3 years, except one horse, who’s tail cracked, but he came with factory packaging, and honestly, I have no idea how the heck that horse got damaged.

I’m not saying I”m not going to hound him about packing them, but short of driving to his house and doing it for him, there’s not much I can do.

*goes to see where he lives*

If you don’t want the grand, I do. So if you do win, and it does come intact, well… I’m sure I could give him a good home. *grins*

Cool. If he’s the biggest one though, he’s the first that will get smashed.

I just got approved to carry a different brand of sculptie than what I currently use, and so I’m selling off what I have left. I use this sculptie on mama dragon’s scales, and to fix horse ears/butcher tails, that kinda thing. I bough 5 pounds 2 years ago, and there’s 4.10 pounds left. I paid $26.99 plus shipping. Asking $20 plus shipping(depends on your zip). It’s a 2 part stuff, you mix it, and it gets hard.

I will also part it off in 1 pound increments if anyone is interested in just one pound.

    Thanks!

Sad part is, I don’t want the whole herd 😯 I just want mama, baby, and young. the other two…eh.

I just figure, if he’s being a booger to everyone who is writting, maybe it’ll scare everyone away, and i’ll get them cheap. If they arrive damaged, but fixable, then I will have some nice peices for repainting. That’s pretty much my whole thought process, in a nutshell 😀

Okay so I’ve waiting for over a month for payment on a wolf I sold on ebay. It’s the Darcia one from my Gallery. It’s basically the twin of the one I made and sold to Nirvanacat a few months ago. I really don’t feel like paying another 5 bucks to post it on ebay again since I have to add a ton of photos. Plus moving in 6 days, I’m in a packing frenzy and I usually get a bunch of questions I don’t have time to keep answering. *EEK 6 DAYS!!! 😯 OMG! It’s coming SO FAST!*

So any takers? I know the brown is kinda blah, but since I did it after the character it’s how I made it look. It’s actually really detailed with like 3 different browns in it. Just about any reasonable offer I’ll take. I really need to dump some stuff before I move. I have some auctions up for manga, a hummel, and some other stuff from around my house I’ll never use. I only put the good stuff on ebay and the rest is going to yard sale this weekend.

At the very least they should pay the listing fees even if they can’t or won’t pay for the wolf. Threaten them with a non-paying bidder complaint if they don’t at least cover your eBay fees… Make it clear that you must leave negative feedback to get your fees refunded. Explaining why takes the bite out. Make sure you give them a deadlines (and stick to it) and give them plenty of warnings (but be nice!!! very important!) Usually just the threat of a looming deadline and a black mark is enough to get someone to pay up. I’ve had to do it several times and I’ve always got at least the fees. I hate evilBay! 😡

I have to say that I love eBay, but I hate some of the experiences of it. I’ve been stiffed on payments more times than I care to count over the seven years I’ve sold things. If you file a non-paid item claim, eBay will reimburse your fees. I give my buyers (and I say this in the auctions) seven days to pay. And I give them a couple reminders during that seven days… one at three days, and one at six. On the eighth day I file the claim. They still have seven days after that to pay. If they don’t, I end the claim and get my fee refunded. They get a black mark from eBay. I give them negative feedback, block them from bidding on my stuff in the future, and relist the item. It’s a pain in the rear, but I don’t let it get to me anymore. There are just people out there like that. You can’t make them pay you, and they are just not always honest. It sucks, but it’s true.

I hope you sell that wolf, drag0n. It’s cute, but I don’t know the story, so it doesn’t mean as much to me as it would to someone else. It sounds like you have a couple people interested though, so I’m sure you’ll sell it.

If you leave them a neg, after you do all that, can they leave you one? I’ve let unpaid things go simply because I have 100% and don’t want a non-paying jerk to ruin my score.

    Hey Guys,
Actually, when I told her that I don’t have the money to order her a new one, she just paid for the whole thing up front 😯 I don’t really mind, to be honest, I love painting the windstones(if it was a model horse I’d be far more peev’d) and I’ve wanted to do a white rainbow wolf for a while now, and now I have one I can do after the show. It’s more just a general annoyance that she keeps changing the eye color. I *personally* don’t care for the straw eyes, and wouldn’t have ordered it, the reason I order the eye colors I do is in case I just HAVE to keep something I paint….which does happen every now and then 🙄

On a separate note, I do have another minor issue. This very nice lady bought 2 wolves from me, and then I told her about the third I just finished, and she said she wanted him too. Awesome, right? But….she hasn’t paid in like a week. She paid for the first two within a day. I don’t want bad feedback for slow shipping(the first two were eBay) but if she wants all three I don’t want her to have to pay extra shipping…wonder if she’s sick? I haven’t heard back from her.
