YAY!! Abington’s animals was the store where I first found windstones. I even worked there over christmas one year. Too bad thay’ve gone out of buisness

πŸ˜₯ I know I loved the stuff they carried, I miss them alot. Now it’s harder to find stuff I like to collect. You guys in the US have more stores like that I think. Sometimes I wish I was living there. πŸ˜• It’s even hard for me to find what I need to paint my PYO and model horses.

πŸ˜€ It was! I never had that chance before and probable won’t ever again. And I did not feel guilty at all. I felt like a kid in a candy store or πŸ˜† a man in a big toys for men store πŸ˜‰ We all know how they are like. πŸ™„

I purchased my first Windstones when I was 26, it was the male pegases and the young white dragon. I had a little over $1000 to spend at a store called Abington’s gifts & collectables. I had a hard time to make up my mind πŸ˜• about what to buy. They had so much stuff on every animals you could think of. So the first was a Gosset piece: Common Mergaser female and chick $350. Second was a wolf from Sandicast $100, third was wolves from Country artists 1994 annual edition $300, forth was a wolf from Living Stone wolf lookout $89 and finaly the Windstone Editions male Pegases at $120 and the Young white dragon at $100.
They had a 20% discount for the month of October only so that helped alot 😯 . When they had told me about the big sale for October I had 2 months to save up and I did it! πŸ˜€

PS: as you can see I like wolves alot too, so that wolf they might put for regular production would be a great buy for me. Depending on the $$$ πŸ™

and it looks almost fake next to my other whites. It’s BRIGHT Hospital room white, and my others are mellow regal pearl white. I don’t get it. So I’m pretty upset for what I got.
I got hosed, and I know it. Damn. Lesson learned.
            No more Ebay for me.

            [End Rant]

So sorry πŸ™ to hear about your dragon. But it is true, not all sellers are like that. Some do take the time and effort to package it right. I’ve had my fare share of bad sellers πŸ‘Ώ but when you do find a good one stick with him if he sales the stuff you like on a regular basic πŸ˜‰ . Just curious, do you have a pic of the dragon you got?

              πŸ˜€ Hi Melody,
When will your large PYO dragon be available for purchase? Do you have any idea how much it will be?
If this question was asked before in the forum, I did not see it πŸ™ sorry.
              Thanks

I don’t know when the Keeper will be ready.
We are actually a little unsure if it will be a pyo or a production piece at the moment… same goes for the large winged wolf.. if the dragon is production, I’ll probably do the large wolf as a pyo.
I would prefer to do them the other way around, but we’ll see. (Legal crap.)
              We haven’t set prices yet.
The Muse and unicorn are next. I’m not supposed to post pics until we get the copyright filed on these two, and nobody has had time to get to that yet.. anyway I think they are being cast now. I’ll try to post pics this week.

Hi, I guess everyone wants the Keeper to become a PYO and I agree. It would also give the chance for some of us that can’t afford the big production Windstone dragon, to get one of a nice size and paint it in our choice of colors.
The wolves are tricky to paint and are better as a production piece. Personaly I would save to get one.
If it turns out to be the opposite I’ll be very disappointed. πŸ˜₯ After all their is the Secret keeper in production already.
              πŸ’‘ Should have a poll.
Can’t wait for the outcome. πŸ™„

I know she sometimes posts a pic on the progress of one of her sculptures. πŸ˜‰

Those ruby dragons look great all together.
I never considered any that color, but I must say they do look beautiful!
PS: I hope they are neutered, or you will have more rubies. πŸ˜†

Now IKEA is one place i can get to over here lol πŸ˜€ Ide like a really strong cabinet to display Windstone on. Anyone got any advise about what shelfs or cabinets to get for loading up HEAVY Windstones?

                          Check what I did… http://www.windstoneeditions.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2266

                          WOW! 😯 I can’t believe this!
I was looking at those cabinets with the frosted glass doors in the IKEA catalog and thought at the time ‘I wish the glass on the doors was clear so I could store my Windstones and Country artist collections in it’. And voila! you did what I had in mind only they are stored in the section with no doors. I really like your idea of seperating the room that way. A wall you can move around if you need a change.
                          πŸ˜‰ Very nice!
Thank you for the πŸ’‘ , I might do this to seperate the gym area from the bedroom, but I’ll need clear glass doors.

                          Thanks Dragonmedley!
