I love decorative knives, too… but I’m such a klutz, I would hurt myself. No sharp pointy things for me! 😆
Besides Windstones… I also collect gemstones and crystals. It started with the pretty polished ones, and now I’m getting into clusters and specimens. my poor bank account I also have rocks from the mountain tops, but it’s not my fault!! My mom gave them to me. I have one from Pike’s Peak and one from the Great Continental Divide.
My rock collection also includes fossils. I have an ammonite, trilobites, a belemnite, orthoceras, shark’s tooth, and a piece of dino bone (with marrow).
And no fossil collection is complete without coprolites (yes, dino doo doo)! Makes a great paperweight. 😈

Lucid dreaming is a lot of fun (and is excellent for combating nightmares, btw). As long as I don’t try to control too much, I can stay lucid. If I try to force certain things to happen, I’ll (unfortunately) wake myself up… so I just try to change the dream but don’t really specify HOW. But with this, I never know what’s going to happen next!! 😮 😈
There are different techniques you can practice. If you wake up the minute you try to control your dream, then don’t. When you realize you are dreaming, simply “observe”. See how long you can observe before waking up. Slowly build from there. 🙂
I actually wake up cranky if I can’t interact with my dreams. 😳

Yah, I keep telling myself that I can’t complain about these things. I got an ark candlelamp on ebay for $9.00, came out to $25.00 with shipping. Has only 2 little rubs on the bottom back side. I wasn’t even looking for one, but I couldn’t pass it up! 😆

I so hope it’s quite this year… although, I got a brand new roof because of Gustav, completely covered by insurance. 😆

Major (((hugs))) drag0n! The corporate world sucks. :negative: You need to vent. You can’t keep that stuffed inside, you’ll go insane! It seems very few companies know how to take care of their employees.
With my job, I am trying to force myself NOT to go above and beyond. I’m not doing anyone else’s work anymore. Why? Because I don’t get anything out of it but stress. I’ve been at my job for 12 years (3 part-time, 9 full-time). We are currently restructuring, and I am getting more and more crap put on me… because they know I’ll do it. And I won’t be compensated for it, because I am OUT of raises. Yeah, I have so much to look forward too…
1- Today was the first day of summer camp… I have two months of hell left. Oh, goody…
2- Found that the weekend staff took it upon themselves to cut the starling’s wings WITHOUT my consent. We had cut them to where she had some primaries and secondaries to give the illusion of full wings. THEY BUTCHERED HER WINGS!! She has nothing! Nothing for her to soften her landing should she fall off her perch or handler. She can easily break a bone now. And she knows it. She is traumatized. She is not singing, (and more disturbing) she is not squawking for attention. She must have went (and is still going) through mental birdy torture. I can not stand it when an animal suffers, either physically or mentally, especially when they are under my care. I am beyond IRATE that they did not consult me. I am livid! I had such a wonderful day at work today! 😡Sorry… that was my rant. 😳
