These are amazing. And I think there’s something wrong with me. I LOVE the butt pics………*hangs head in shame*
lol – I’m agonizing over my own Muse!!! I’m going around the house looking at things like prey…found a couple of old, ugly resin PINK dragons we’ve had for years, but can’t get rid of, cuz, you know, someone special gave ’em to us. (They’re PINK for cryin’ out loud!) Considering practicing on those and if they become worse in the process, they’ll just mysteriously disappear. If they become better looking, everyone wins!
(love the parrot analogy – very fitting)
Thanks for that. You gave me some thing I hadn’t thought about. REALLY new to all this, lol.
The expression! The pose! The butt!!!!! These are adorable.
I can’t find anything decent to practice on either! I’ve checked out PYO ceramic shops, but most of those pieces have very little detail and are, for the most part, smooth. I read someone suggested repainting resin pieces, but I haven’t done that yet. Wondering if I need to base coat first….
Congrats! I REALLY wanted that one, lol!!
The details on that Diablo dragon are amazing!
oooooooohhhhhh thank you for this! I need all the tuts I can get! I just sent my sister (who asked me to do this for her) links to your gallery. We’re from Biloxi and love the Saints and Mardi Gras and loved your muses on a personal level. I told her not to expect her to look this good!

Oh thank you for posting this thread! I’ve painted in the past, but have never been overly pleased with the outcomes. My sister just asked me to paint a muse for her for Christmas and I AM TERRIFIED. She has much more confidence in me than I do, clearly.
Quick question – I just checked my local Hobby Lobby and A C Moore’s but didn’t find any unpainted plaster. Are ya’ll talking about unpainted plasters? Maybe I just missed them……
