Have had four interviews so far…haven’t heard anything back. Already feels like forever being out of work. Some days it’s really darned hard to just get up and even be functional…

My first day of unemployment. Feels surreal. I haven’t been unemployed since I was a teenager. Feels like I’ve been punched in the stomach, only the feeling doesn’t go away. 🙁 Had an interview already. Not the same job I went to school for and making much less money. We’ll see how it goes. Blew a tire on the way to the interview though. More expense, and only just made it on time. Sigh. Anyone who says the economy is recovering isn’t here at the bottom. And unemployment is only “down” because so many people have given up. There is no loyalty to hardworking employees anymore…only the bottom line.

They’re all so pretty! I wish I could have bought one, but I really just wanted a plain brown siamese-y color one. And I never have luck with grab bags anyhow. And seeing as I just got laid off from my job of 8 years, no new anything for me anyhow. But it’s fun to see what you all got.

Actually that could totally be a pinched nerve or a herniated disc in your neck. Those are all symptoms related to that problem, including the increased pain/burning/numbness when laying down/in certain positions, etc. Some positions will actually put more pressure on the disc which puts more pressure on the spinal cords and that’s where all the nerves for your arms and legs come from. And pretty much the only ways to diagnose if this is true is an MRI of the spine, or, if the symptoms have been going on over 2 weeks, an EMG nerve conduction study. Preferably both. The burning/crawling/itchy can all be indicators of nerve inflammation. Oh and age doesn’t matter. I herniated 7 disc in my spine when I was 23 and have been in pain ever since.

…sigh. And just found out I need to have shoulder surgery. Just when I can least afford it in more ways than one. 🙁

Long time…no whine…

So I really hoped 2015 was going to be a better year…It has not been thus far. My husband got hurt at work and was denied workers comp for a injury that left him barely able to lift his arm because he was hurt in an “accident” and it wasn’t his spine, even thought everyone agreed it happened at work. He now has no job and can’t even really find another one until his arm is better. Then I hurt my should and have to cough up for another MRI because they suspect a shoulder tear. After a brain tumor scare, my son has officially been diagnosed with autism, sensory disorder, and vision impairment. My parents are a step away from divorce after almost 40 years and using me as an outlet. My poor nephew is stuck with his rotten drug using mother because Florida’s DCF does not care about children or their safety one bit. And chronic pain for the past 12 years is finally catching up to me and driving me nuts, even though I work with some great docs who have done their best to try to help manage it. And less life alteringly, I’ve had to sell off a fair amount of things, including windstones due to mounting bills and watched some of my long-waited for piece pass me by due to medical bills being more important. And I totally missed the pink fledgies after years of asking for them…the one sculpt I could have still afforded. So…whine!
