No kidding! You brush on the chaulk in a βdustβ form? Do you mix it with anything to turn it into a liquid?
what kind of store is that available from?
It sounds like you arenβt doing enough stitches in the corners. When you approch the corner stitch you will typically work 3 or more stitches into your base row therefor creating a βbendβ I can post a picture if youwould like.
Here I made a starting granny square. I chained a circle, worked 16 double crochets into the circle. Worked 4 double crochets(dc). In my next stitch I did 1dc, chained 3, did 1dc all in the same stitch. I did that 4 times around and joined into my first stitchs. I have a rough square w/ 4 ch3 spaces that become the corners. If I were to do another row it would become more square shaped.
If you need more help, just let me know!!
Hmmβ¦I may just try the glue alone for now. It would be very easy to end up with the edges not aligning correctly. I think Iβll glue, let him sit overnight and see how it is tomorrow.
Any clay/filler suggestions besides the dry wall compound? Something that doesnt shrink much when dried?
Looks amazing! How did you do that? Oh, and what are pastels?
Thats funny! I love cats! My male kittie, Calvin, is a tuxedo cat(think sylvester). He is just trouble, but super sweet too! My youngest, Sophie, is afraid of dark objects on the floor. She was a stray picked up on the side of the road. Our other kittie, Alex, is very mellow now that she is an old woman. Sleeps on my pillow every night:)
I started glueing. Found some regular elmerβs white glue. The first peices were tricky, but I got it down now. All I have left to do is the 2 main body parts. Going to wait for hubby to help with the drill, I donβt know how they work. I am missing alot more then I thought, and the paint has peeled around the majority of the breaks. That is going to be a challenge. If I had done this when it first broke I think it would have been easier. Like I said, he isnβt going to be 100%, but atleast he isnβt sitting in a shoe box in the closet anymore!
Oh goshβ¦the pressureβ¦..*starting to crack*
Ah ha, never thought of dry wall compound. I want a glue that dries pretty quickly because I think Iβm going to have hold the pieces together atleast while it sets up.
Iβm also working on a knitted scarf, a huge counted crossstitch, some silver jewelry, knitted socksβ¦.now the griffinβ¦.and I have 2 kids, 3 and 5.
Whats 2 more things on the plate, right?
I can understand Ski!! You lose so much detail in pictures, I was really suprised when I got to see my wolf up close. Iβm really trying to contain the urge to order the dragon & griffinβ¦.
This may help you.
go to http://www.lionbrand.com they have a free pattern section. they have some good tutorials too!!
Yes they do!
My cats laugh at the squirt bottle, can of coins, fingers, etcβ¦But they have mellowed with age. Thank goodness!! My dog tho listens very well. I wonder of the squirt bottle would work on kids??
I have to pace myself because I have a hair extension addiction as wellβ¦.fruity I know, but whats a girl to doβ¦.
