Well, we found out the issue. Nothing medical. He suddenly stopped(for whatever reason) using the cat door 🙄 . We have a 2 story house plus a basement, and the cat food, ater and box are in the basement. Otherwise the dogs think its all a buffet :puke: . So, the damn cat was using the door just fine 2 weeks ago, but suddenly stopped. I’m tellig you guys I have NEVER had a cat so nuts! He just sits behind the cat door and cries(it’s behind our couch so we can hear him). The dogs can’t even get to the cat door, so why on earth did he stop using it??!! So not only as he peeing upstairs, he wasn’t eating or drinking. Good lord, now I really don’t know what to do for him. I hate the idea of him living on the basement all the time. On the other hand I can’t leave the actual door open or we have the doggie buffet issue again :shout:
No, I don’t have a space for a litter pan upstairs.
Hoestly I think it’s behavoiral and not medical. I looked at the spot in Nattie’s room and it almost looked like he was spraying because it’s on the wall and leaked down to the carpet. The only other thing I ca think of is that he is so scared of the dogs that when he has to go he won’t come down stairs…..
I think Ive known that he just was’t a good match for us, but giult has kept him here.
Oh!! Poor babe! Please let us know how you guys make out!
Nothing wierd in the litter pan, and I never see him trying to go….I just don’t know. I feel bad all around, but I think we are going to bring him to the humane society(no kill). It’s a really hard decision to make because I have always beleived that once you get an animal you keep that animal. They are your responsibilty and part of your family. On the other hand, I can’t tolerate him peeing all over my new house and biting the kids.
Hey all!! It’s been a while since I’ve been around!! Hope everyone is well!
Alright, I need some advice. Remember back in december & january when we lost our beloved cat Calvin. Then we got scammed on craig’s list with the white cat that turned out to not be good with dogs and kept biting my daughter….well, we kept him. Six months later he is still terrified of the dogs, but does come upstairs. He does still bite on occasion. Now tho, he has started peeing upstairs(not in the litter pan) intermittenly. Not all the time, not in the same place. My got the bathroom(which is tiled), our closet on a piece of luggage and now my daughter’s room on one of her baby doll totes and on her carpet…..Why would e start this now, or are we just finding out because it’s warm and humid? Would we be horrible to give him away?
*does happy dance*
You have THE yumiest looking paints!! What brand are you using?? Fantastic as always!
What I really want to know is HOW do you forget you have *another* Keeper??!! 😀
She came back, the little trouble maker! 😈
One of our cats got out this morning. She will not come to me or my husband. Tried putting out food. Every time we go out there she just goes further away….She is obviously having fun in the brush…
She is still soaking. Much more vibrant but I want to see how dark she will get 😀
Has anyone tried dying a PYO w/ easter egg dye? Didnt know if it would work, so I I tried it. I dipped a muse for about 10 minutes in orange, and it wasn’t enough color so I’m letting it sit overnight….
I would second getting a new doctor. Not all docs are created equal and no doctor should just prescribe you med after med w/o trying to get to the root of the problem. To me it sounds(and I’m NO pro) like your mind/body has almost gone into a mania like state and you can’t get out of it. Plus too, I think when you are in this heightened state of awareness, you can get yourself more worked up by not accomplishing the thing you are setting out to do(like sleeping).
Either way, I would get a different doctor or talk more to yours and explain that medications don’t seem to be doing anything for you and where should you go from here?
Well, she will certainly have a better place to live now! Lovebirds are so pretty!
I love to sleep, but just like everyone else, sometimes my rthymes get off. I think it is normal to *occasionally* experience sleep disruption. Things like stress, foods, drinks, habits can add up too. I also have depression & anxiety and take meds daily. My sleep pattern is a big indicator for me as to *how* I am doing. If I’m getting depressed or anxious about something, sleep is the irst place it shows for me. Usually, this happens because I forgot my meds 🙄 , I try not but it does happen.
I don’t think it’s normal for sleep disruption to go on and on and on. In my opinion, thats when you ought to get your doctor involved. You say you’ve built up a tolerance to sleep meds, maybe you just need a different type of sleep med? Anyway, I too think you should go see your doctor. It’s better safe then sorry!!
