faber castell. Comes in different colors and sizes. Very fine. I use them for my aceo cards.
I am not sure just how well polymer will take these, or take pens at all, even after a wash with detergent. I have never seen them used on polymer. When I made a tatto on a fae I used acrylics after I failed with a pen with the size I wanted. I know that thicker pens work, but I am not sure about fine ones. I think that the fine ones will be divided into driplets due to the sealing of polymers, perhaps also apoxies. I’d have recommended liquitex too, using a very, very fine brush.

a writing flow! oh wow! I envy you!
So far I’ve only had art flows, they keep me up for hours, but then I’m kaput for weeks after them. I wish I still had more time for writing at all ( or even a flow) but with the lovely school where I have to attend and be awake…

Nope, I just wanted a longish snout for once, and this turned out.

            thanks all!
I counted them, with the new ones I am up to exactly 30 full lined aceo cards. And no coloring time or date in sight. Kind of depressing. But as I said, lots of boring lessons and easy to hide cards. Colorpencils, not to mention watercolors would be easy to spot by the teacher. And I am the hideing master, not even my tableneighbors all see the Aceos.
this time I added a mythical Kelpie. Part of the legend says that Kelpies make incredibly awesome mounts for battle, but if they only smell saltwater in the air or on something they will jump into the next lake, with or without the mount. I’ve always pictured these horses as barnacle and algae coverd horse beasts.
And for those who dont know, the more common Kelpie drowns and eats people.

I need a new scanner… the quality as usual is depressing if compared to the originals…

              I love them!
and I had to laugh at your last sentence “mine holds a dried lizard” 🙂
              I want a dried lizard too! *g*
I hope to someday get one. Right now I have one neglected gryph here and I still wanted a dragon. But I want to wait until I am a bit more secured with brush and color, because I dont want to ruin him.

yep, I know apoxie. I do the understructure of bigger sculptures in apoxie, and I do jewelry. I know people who sculpt with it, full fantasy or other styles like me, but I cant deal with the quick cureing time. Did you make them solid? puresculpt?
have you ever tried polymer? it does not get rock hard but if you undersculpt in apoxie it gets very solid too.
As for pottery clay, I mean its only my opinion, but I do not at all recommend it for fine or weight intense (standing, humanoid) stuff, especially if you want to ship it. Unless the figure is filigree(winged, long legged, spiked) and bigger. Even with the kilning to me those figures were always a horror when they had to go beyond sitting in my room, like, being shipped to another country. SO easy to break, so hard to pack, heavy.

priceing is always a good question.
I’d suggest that if you dont know what to start with you take the basics:
                    material
                    time
                    value

I believe you are useing a polymer or a special air dry clay (am i guessing right that its the japanese one they use for flowers?) so be sure to put that in the price and in the description (many people think 3D is made with mud from the garden and therefore cheap, to much madechina spoil)
Check how much time you spent, how much you value your time or how much you would get if you worked.
Check how much you value your fact of doing art, aswell the finished product. Are you satisfied with it, do you think its a piece you like that has a “soul” etc.

If you are still not sure then check what the market would give for it. Put up an auction, offer a piece for real. Or ask people if they are interested to buy. really interested not just hinting, this may sound weird, but my Dad often tells me to price my work in grands(my bigger pieces), he would not buy it because I give him some pieces, he just suggest what he sees (or believes he sees in hours) but in reality the market is much more different.
                    I hope this helps

                      thanks all!
I have no idea when they will be on ebay. As said lineing and scetching them is quickly done, either on trainrides or “illegally” hidden between schoolpapers. Or like the new ones today at voting duty. If I’d bring my watercolors it would be … uhm… obvious. And I am never sure when time is enough to sit down and color them. Its the waiting between drying color shades that make it time consuming. Atleast in the sense of sitting down and working on it in a piece.

after neglecting and forgeting these I finally scanned my school and trainride ACEO scribbles from… uhm… since winter? They are awaiting coloration soonish. Quite a few flaws but Hammersnout Mr Grump Dragon is my favourit.

what helps me is trying to put myself in their position. Meaning MINT to my artists eye is spotless and flawless. On the other hand my aunt calls gryphons dragons and buys me googly plastic eyes after I showed her my taxidermy eyes. Then again she’s a thousand times better at math than me.
BUT this has nothing to do with no communication. So, if she does not answer I would ask her a few times (be sure to observe is she is active, after all the struck by the lightning house can be possible) and then hit the red button. Be sure to say in the feedback what was wrong, not just “badass evil”.
                          Good luck 🙂

thanks 🙂 I hope I can make more. I think I just ruined my back today as I hand dye each sheet. Here are the pages of the future book to be called “Shadowwood”

and this is a still nameless lil bugger with very tasty… er nice smelling fire pages:

still needs deco, I may go with a dragon head. This is also one with an actual bookmark. Tiiiny teeeny cristal at the end. I need to get new fabric and a better glue (right now I use woodglue). But first to cure my back *whimper*
(if you wonder, Shadowwood has 29 A3 pages. each dipped into water, dipped into dye. handrubbed with dye twice, sprinkled with dye. Turned, rubbing and sprinkling repeated and then folded and hung. All has to be done carefully cause nothing hates touching more than wet paper.
Because I need place and I make dirt this was done in the garden, no table… I coated our patio….)

because I decided to try bookbinding for real. Well, kind of. Fully unprofessional with flaws but my first ever real bookbinding made without assistance. Glanced at two tuts for the sewing but ended doing it my own way. The paper is dyed laserprinter 120gramms with coffe and gouache. Gold parts are polymer. Made in 48 hours, including drying time of dyed paper and glueings (longer drying is healthyer for the book though). Extra strong using strong thread with 6 stitches for a pack of 4 pages.
I am not happy with the red velvet cloth but it was the only one I had. Next week I may have leather.
here in comparison with the big book, Dreambook. The new books name is Wandersoul, I know its silly to name a book but… books have feelings to. Will be used for the doodles on my novel. The big one is for concept scetches now, it is to heavy to bring along at school. Heavy, that is because I have a back problem :/

                                  20 of 26 artworks “left” me 😉
of those another 2 were given to a friend which now leaves me with the four that would be still available. YOu can see them here:

I’ve also put my sketchybookie cover under serious exercise meaning it wend all naked (no cover) to a con and to school in my humpy-dumpy bag. surprisingly not a scratch to be seen. even on the fimo corners.
right now I am overwhelmed with the stresslessness… no running to finish artshow stuff. Its almost weird. Makes me realize how sick I was to do 26 artworks since march. Its so nice to stare at a blank wall.
*goes stareing at wall for hours*
