So yay i was really happy today when i was about to begin my out-processing today and we stopped by the mail room and i had 3 packages – all the ones ive been waiting for including my red fire riser :shout:, he is beautiful, love those eyes!

im rly glad they all arrived, one less thing i have to worry about… lol “You know ur addicted to windstones when….” – your worrying more about ur windstones arriving safely than getting ready to go home after spending 7+ months in the desert/warzone. Today was crazy tho, our air conditioner finally kicked the bucket at 3:45 in the morning…it sounded like someone shot it with a shotgun, then sounded like a mix between a jet engine/ and a dying car then just died all together :x.. i just wonder how hot our room actually got if the 105+ degree weather outside was cooler than what it was in our room… i hope the heat didnt damage my dragons T__T… the kbr ppl finally came to replace it… at 11pm when this little mini dust storm with random rain rolled in…. ppls were waking up, coming outside, wondering what in the world all the bangin was for and stuff… oi it was interesting.. but now theres iraqi dust all over EVERYTHING……ahhhhh lol T__T.. ah well… better than baking in a metal box all night 😆

You know your addicted to Windstones when you get them sent out to Iraq because you miss all the other ones you have at home, and bring a PYO to work and paint it while on duty 😆

I guess i was a little scared/shocked with this news and how i received it so suddenly. I feel kinda bad cuz most of the ppl in the unit dont even know yet…theyve heard whisperings and so they came to me to find out what as goin on…. i had lots of ‘splainin to do today …. well…. now that ill be going back… i can get my finish for my griffin without having the conflict of shipping hazardous materials yay :shout:

This afternoon, a person in my unit came and knocked on my door, waking me up. He gave me some news thats both good.. and bad news… But mostly good in this case. I found out that I’m going to be leaving Iraq and getting redeployed back to the states – 5 months earlier than i thought i would have. Im told that im expected to be going back within the next week or so, which means ill be back before my 21st birthday. I have a bunch of mixed feelings about this, and it really shocked me… and it still hasnt really sunk in just yet. I mean im… happy beyond all belief that im coming home, and get to see my family and stuff…. but…a part of me wants to stay and serve out the rest of the deployment with the rest of my unit. A part of me feels that ive failed… that im not ‘soldier’ enough… if that makes sense because of this… and that im getting an easy way out… this whole thing came to be because of those seizure-like attacks i had a few weeks ago. I had talked to the chaplain here, one who i thought i could trust about that issue, and others related to that. I thought i had left those sessions on good terms, but apparently he went to my command.. and told them that they think its best that i go back, that being over was probably too stressful for me. With that they considered me to be a high risk soldier… which i think is utterly ridiculous… and the few others that know also agree.. It kinda makes me a little mad.. that all i wanted was someone to talk to about issues i was having and then they go and turn around and pull that card on me… there just soo much to think about…. i need to start packing, how im going to get all my stuff back, what if my packages (including a red fire riser DX) dont arrive by the time i have to leave, have to change my schedual from night shift to day shift then re-adjust to the time back at home/jet lag, i wonder what im going to be doing when i get back to the states,i have to start practicing and re-memorize all the music that im supposed to know (in the band), if im going to see my family when i get back or not….. to be honest…. i think this adds a great deal more stress than it would have had i just stayed here with everyone else…. but i guess it will all be worth it when im home in my own room and with my family… and have access working, decently priced internet…

Lmao. XD Baby bird poop! I did not touch it, though! I poked it with a stick, haha. Yuck~ Crazy birds! Of all the places to drop it off, why the birdbath?!

lol… silly story. in that link it said that “To get rid of the fecal sacs of older babies, the parents carry them away. Robins and bluebirds fly 20-50 yards away, and drop the sacs in flight. Grackles almost always drop fecal sacs over water. Long ago, grackles usually nested near rivers, and the flowing water would carry the droppings far away. Now many grackles nest in conifers in people’s back yards, often far from rivers. But the instinct to drop those fecal sacs over water is still strong, so grackles often drop them in swimming pools and bird baths.”
