Sorry for the soap box post, but you did ask what what we thought. 😀

❓ Um, yah, I am asking for opinions. Like I said, I like hearing what others have to say. Why would you think that I wouldn’t want your opionion?

Just meant that I can ramble on sometimes. 😀

It looks like the second book that I mentioned (Dragonne’s Eg) is actually part 4 of the “Here There Be Dragonnes” series. The two that Pegasi mentioned are part 2 and 3. “Unlikely Ones” is part 1.

That solved half of the mystery. Thanks everyone!

I remember that book. Author is Mary Brown.
Thanks, I’ll check what else she wrote.

I understand how you feel, Keschete. No one can predict where a hurricane will go. Once it hits the gulf, anything is possible. I’ve seen them do U-turns in the gulf and go back across Florida.

For now, unless the weather changes, Dean is headed to Mexico by the middle of the week.

Full length novel. Probably adult fiction because I would have found it in the regular Science Fiction/Fantasy paperback book section of the book store.

I remember reading a book about a guy that is sent on a quest (I think) by a small kirin statue that comes to life. It was probably 20 years ago, so not a recent publication. I can barely remember the story, but I remember the kirin being part of the story. Much later, I think another book came out that sounded similar, but I think it came out as a prequel taking place a generation or two earlier with a female central character. I never read the second book, so I’m not positive on the description.

I’ve tried doing internet searches about stories with ki’rins, but I can;t find anything. Does this book or books sound familiar to anyone?

I haven’t heard about the designer hybrid BS. What is it?

After having an aussie, I wouldn’t mind a dog that didn’t shed and try to re-carpet the house with little fuzzies each day. 😀

If they want less poop, they should buy a smaller dog. 😀

I agree! Thank you very much! Your responses to my forum questions and email questions have always been helpful.

When I first bought Windstones 20 years ago, they were just really cool collectibles. I didn’t know anything about Melody or how the Windstones were produced. After finding this forum and learning more about the people behind them and how much they care about what they do, my Windstones mean that much more to me.
Thank you very much for being who you are!

Someone sent me this photo in email, but I found it on the web to share with y’all. I hadn’t seen it before, so I don’t know if it’s old or new.

The colored dogs and special cuts look cute. As long as the dyes are safe and don’t endanger the dog with long use, I have no problem with it.

I just foresee that somewhere down the road, someone is going to try a ‘do-it-yourself’ dye job with spray paint. And then are the backyard breeders and puppy mills, that will jump on the bandwagon and breed white poodles and terriers because everyone is going to want a white dog that they can change the colors on. Kinda like what happened with dalmatians when the movie ‘101 Dalmatians” came out.

As for poodles, the standards were originally bred for retrieving, so if you can get past the silly haircuts, they are very smart dogs and they love to make you laugh. The inbreeding of the toys caused nasty dispositions and gave the breed a bad rep.

As for the story of people buying lambs thinking they were poodles, I find it hard to believe that someone who really wanted a poodle, would believe that poodles have hooves.

Darn, Oregon is even further away. Guess I’ll just have to go visit Nambroth at DragonCon some year. 😀

Awesome pics! Thanks for for sharing them. Wish I had a reason to go to CA so I could visit the factory. I love the ember OW!

I see comments about moving. Is the location of the factory being moved? Any idea where or when?
