Too right, Talona. Plus, I don’t trust what that turtle is doing!! 😆 😛
He’s practicing push-ups! Can’t you tell? 😀
I want to play on the dragon hatchery, too… but I’m SO confused!
I’m not going to lie, these ads made me laugh. I wonder if it would do the spammer any good to know that 85% of us are women… lol. Just sayin’…
XD
I agree Poems, that flapcat is too cute!
I meant to do this yesterday, but got so distracted with my new pretties I just didn’t get the chance. Thank you for shipping these gals so well! They are so lovely and perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple of girls to match the guy that I got from Poems!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. The transaction with you was so easy and pleasant!
Well, my girls from Pixiedust arrived safely today, and double boxed as if they were being shipping into FedEx apocalypse! kudos on the packing, lady!
They are both GORGEOUS, and match the male I got from Poems perfectly. What a gorgeous family they are!
Titan was a good ole fashioned heinz 57 mutt. He was large, and looked like a brindle irish setter. He was probably 110 pounds, but he was lean, if that gives you any indication of how tall he was.
Thank you all for your condolences. The last few days have been tough. My husband is ready to start looking for another dog. That was his best buddy. I think it will do him some good. He wants a weimaraner, which we have talked about for years. But between Titan and our cats, and the fosters I’ve had in and out of our home over the years, we just didn’t feel like we had time for a puppy, especially a breed with the energy of a weimaraner. So maybe now is a good time to start looking into our options. This will be the first dog I’ve ever had that wasn’t a rescue, but my husband wants to purchase a field bred weimy that he can train to hunt with him. Although, if I had *MY* way, I’d get one that I could train to do therapy work.. but that’s just me.. hah.
I will always miss my big boy. He was good to me, and there are times in his life that I felt like he was the only friend I had. He taught me a lot as a dog owner. Including, but not limited to, patience and unwaivering trust. My daughter keeps asking where Titan is, but she’s too young to understand that he’s passed away. All she knows is that the dog that used to curl up on the floor with her to watch cartoons before bedtime isn’t there anymore. When she’s older, I’ll show her pictures and explain to her.
What a cutie! Chows are a lot of fun, and a lot of grooming! I don’t envy you the groom time.. haha. I just want to squeeze him!
ddvm wrote:I’m so sorry. Bloat is a horrible thing – it often happens for no reason (although genetics can play a role)so don’t blame yourself. It was not your fault. You did what you could by getting him to the vet. I cans still remember the lecture we had on bloat and the first thing the prof said was that 25% of all dogs who bloat will die regardless of what the vet does. That is a really high mortality rate for any condition. 🙁 And a lot of those who survive the initial bloat will die within a year due to a second bloat. *hugs*
I used to be a vet tech, so I recognized the symptoms immediately, though I was extremely shocked that he’d not been doing anything before OR after eating. He was just laying there resting when it started. I thought, I hoped…that since I got him there right away that he would make it. I will definately be changing vets, though… because he was VERY rude and abrupt when calling to let me know that I’d lost him.
I’m just not sure how I’m going to cope with the empty dog bed in the corner of my room for awhile, and I can’t bear to move it just yet…
Curious about that also. Which two are left?
Today, I lost my dog Titan. Last night he bloated, despite not being active before or after eating. He underwent the surgery, but passed away about an hour ago in the vet’s care.
R.I.P. big boy……I’ll remember and cherish you always…
Yes, congrats!!! I’m envious!
You’re right. It’s not… LOL. I have scars to prove it.
Since clumsiness is my fatal flaw, I collect scars. Does that count? 😉
No, seriously… my husband and I collect swords and daggers of all kinds. I will get some pictures a bit later today, but we have a TON so it might take awhile.
That’s really cool!!!!! We have ground hogs, and foxes and skunks… >.< If I were ever fast enough, I'd get a picture of the fox.. but I never am.. haha.
