I’ve been keeping up on reading the this thread and all I can say is man, why do people do this? How can they feel ok about doing stuff like that?
Anyway, I was looking at their new auction and it looks on par for what I might be able to do (and I have yet to paint any PYO, so that isn’t saying much). It also looks a bit unfinished, but maybe I’ve just been spoiled by too many fine artists here on the forum.
Water, I’m just sorry to see you having to deal with crap. Your professionalism with dealing with the buyer that got burned is wonderful. I hope everything works out.
Pegasai, thank you so much for sharing these photos. The eggs are so wonderfully done. I especially like the ones with little scenes in them. What detail to work and patience it would have taken…. 🙂

Actually I’m glad you said something. I did think it was just me. 😆 I would have liked them better if they were solid black, but I know some people don’t like that either. I guess that’s why Windstone creates so many creatures with so many colors to try to keep everyone satisfied.

Oops! I was afraid someone might think I was plugging that soda. (If only! Then I could spend the $$ on more Windstones.) Seriously though, my Windstones have a bit of sweet tooth and we have to keep them on the decaffinated soda otherwise they get a bit out of hand. I don’t want to even mention the Coca-cola incident. 😆
It appears from your post that Windstones prefer all types of soda, so I guess they can’t endorse just one. Maybe we should ask what Melody allows her Windstones to drink. 😉

Yep. I sold him last Sept/Oct. At the time I didn’t think I would have enough room for him in the new house (found out after the fact that there was plenty). I also needed the money and my dad was in his last few months of life, so my personal life was very stressful and I probably wasn’t thinking too clearly. Having said that though, I don’t really regret selling him and I know he went to someone who would appreciate him more than me. It all worked out in the end.
Your mother does wonderful work! I love the silhouette paper cut pictures (like the horses grazing). I’m sorry I’m not sure the proper name for it. Does she have any of those with a horse head or a horse running?
I got to go to Washington D.C. when I was in high school. Have a blast on your trip, but be careful!

Eye candy is always good though and you can show the comparison between the Grand Unicorn and the Male Pegasus. I can’t because I don’t have that piece. Would love to get it in black, but that ain’t gonna happen. I didn’t even think about throwing something else in for scale.
I’ll probably be adding the White Male Unicorn and the White Baby Unicorn in the next year. Don’t know about the White Grand though. Doesn’t seem fair for one family to have the Grand and not both. That and the fact that it seems like it may be exceptionally hard to find.
I love your Orientals. Very nice. Too bad that piece hasn’t come out in Ruby. Be very cool to see all four together.

Besides, I think the more the merrier. We all bring what we can to make it even better.
As for the black grand I had one awhile ago and it was ok. I just didn’t like him as well as my white grand. I think its the grey socks and muzzle that distract me. I understand wanting to keep the two sets balanced. Hopefully Melody will be coming out with some new colors in all the unicorns so we can have a variety. As for the orientals, it would have been wonderful to get a ruby, but I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I wonder if Windstone will ever produce a limited run of white orientals? It would be something to see.

Those are great detailed pics. Thanks for sharing. We really need to start a collector database with thes pics. They give such better detail than anything on the web.
Wow, someone beat me to the punch! Those are nice pics. Those are better than the ones I just took (before I read the last few posts). I like your black unies Pegasi.
I will go ahead and post mine anyway just so there is more eye candy on this thread. I added the soda can for anyone who hasn’t seen these pieces in person, so they can get an idea of scale.
I also added some oriental dragons for some color. (Please don’t mind them posing, they were practicing for the a capella group singing competition this weekend.) 😀

I agree, when they are that knarly maybe a new life (and color) would be better than trying to patch up the old.
Very impressive TC! You have a nice mixture of sculps and colors. How far along on your “want” list are you?
I should have also noted that the difference in size between the mother unicorn and pegasus are comparatively the same as for the male pegasus and grand unicorn. But it gets really interesting when it comes to the babies. The babies are similiar sizes, I want to say the baby pegasus is slightly larger. The hatching pegsus however, is quite large compared to the pegasus mother. There are some size descreptancies to be sure. I guess I should take some more pics… 😆
At Melody’s house she had a rearing white pegsus next to a male unicorn that were holding unbrellas, and they appeared to be the same height.
I would love to show a pic of the size difference, but I can’t bring myself to purchase the male uni (the pose is just not dignified enough for a unicorn). Yea, I’m weird that way. 😉
