There are more pearl gryphons, Olimpia made more. I am not sure if they have their eyes and jewels glued in yet, but there are more to buy!
Thank you Vantid for letting us know. I may have missed it, but who is Olimpia? I like to learn about the people “behind the scenes”.
Did you mean just the males or are there females and chicks too??
One left at 11:03am Pacific.
I think it would neat to see these small dragons in all the colors of the rainbow, so you could line them up. Or like the chakra colors. They are small enough, it might look really neat.

LOL! Indeed!
One hour and 2 minutes since they went on sale and 5 are left. I wonder what the office people think? We really should have a betting pool for stuff like this.

I know the pearl griffins came out around July 4th holiday, and they haven’t been seen since, and I totally missed the albino griffins and have yet to see those come back around. I wish we could know for sure what the minimum batch number is for a limited production. It would be easier to budget.
Hmm, I wonder if Windstone even knows. I’m guessing they see how well/fast the first batch sells, and if there is a demand for more? The Gryphon’s were a larger piece and therefore more expensive so there might not be interest from enough collectors at this moment to make another batch. These dragons are small, and less expensive (although, still a lot for there size) so more people might gobble them up and then Windstone might make more seeing the swift buying from collectors.
I agree on both counts. A perfect example was the gold lap dragons (still want one of those), but a second batch was made and they still have some left, at least they did. I do agree for the size of this current dragon the price is steep, but at least those on smaller budgets should be able to afford a limited production (rather than $200+).

Both the pearl and regular albinos were limited production.
Holy Toledo! They haven’t been up for an entire hour yet. Were there 25 to start with? So that would be what…about 1 sold every 4 to 5 minutes. Geeeshh! I’m in the wrong field.
SPark wrote:Hrm. I was thinking of things like the brown fledgelings, that we’ve seen several batches of.
I’d thought that at least one of those gryphons in white/pearl/albino/whatever was limited edition? Guess not.
I haven’t really kept up with the dragons, so you’re probably right. The pearl griffin is limited production, not sure about the albino….have to look it up.
ladybrooklyn wrote:Oooh… those gryphons that you speak of… were they the new ones? Female and babies to be precise??? I’ll have to save my $$ for those… definately need Gryphons more than Dragons at this point. 😆
But man… I think I love the sculpture more than the color (don’t get me wrong… the color is gorgeous!) but given the financial situation… and the proximity to Xmas… I should be good… 😯 I’d rather by a PYO wolf to paint right now… methinks… 😀
Yes, they are/were the new ones (limited productions). Melody said that the females should be coming out at the end of this month and I hope that includes the chicks too. I would just like to know the estimated $$ so I can budget. They will be the last splurge for awhile.
The white pearl I absolutely love, it is great in person – although it didn’t seem to photograph well for Ebay. I prefer the blue eyes to the pink eyed albino but I have heard that people like both. I do have to agree the scupture is what I like most and lets face it, color is so subjective to personal taste. I wish you luck on getting your PYO. I will probably have to wait for awhile. Oh well… 😀
Only 10 left at 9:58am pacific time.

Heck, it’s “limited production” not limited edition, so there will be at least one more batch of the things in THIS color on ebay some other time, if Windstone’s past behavior is anything to go by.

I have a pink eyed albino if you really want one…hehe
Thank you but my budget is hurting already and I need to get a family for my pearl male. I hope soon….

I think you got tagged. I’m not expert, but I find it odd that someone who hasn’t paid over $15 for a windstone (and their other auctions didn’t go more that $5)all of a sudden goes up to $200 ALL in $5 increments. I could see them doing it for a couple of bids, but if you really want an item you start trying $10 or $20 changes in bids. This looks like they were just trying to up the price, but not too much. I got tagged not too long ago and I hate that. 👿
But I’m glad you got her. She is really pretty. 😀
Sniping sort of works. Although I cannot compete with those sniping websites. Especially with like 3 seconds left in an auction.
Thank you Melody for giving us all the colors! Now almost everyone can be happy. Boy, we are a demanding lot! Thanks again! 😀
