    OOo a green and brown eyed one would be lovely πŸ˜€

    Lords… I could go NUTS with the muse… that is the one PYO I’m holding out to purchase. πŸ˜€ There can be no “wrong” way of painting it, since it.. well.. its a muse, and whatever inspires you is correct πŸ˜€

    Wait, wasn’t the Old Warrior originally intended to be the mate for the emperor dragon? Until he decided he wanted to be a surly old male instead? ;D

    Yes, the Warrior started out as an Empress. It is interesting how a sculpture has a mind of its own sometimes.

    oh wow, so is there an empress dragon?

    No. It sounds like there could have been, but she had a sex change (an addadictomy). πŸ˜‰ Is that PG enough? Maybe not. 😳 Sorry.

    or, if you like– she is an older valkyrie, an amazon warrior who has seen it all and is no longer impressed by much πŸ˜€

    Melody, are the tan griffins (to match the old male) going to be released any time soon?

    I ask because my birthday’s coming up, so if they are coming out soon I’m going to save my birthday funds for that…

    Thank you! I am not sure when. I need to decide which griffins to do in which colors when , and I don’t want to flood the world with griffins.. I think I will start doing test paints on them soon (they are really cute in this color) but I need to decide if the tan or peacock black will be first.. or should we just not worry about flooding the world?
    If I did all the pending colors, There will be:
    The whole family of Pearls as production with different colored eyes (not blue);

    Black sunset,(whole family, production);

    the tan ones, (female and chicks only, direct sale)

    and black peacock (female and chicks only, direct
    sale)

    Plus Jennifer’s special ones;

    and the wolf ones; both limited edition purple ones, and production green eyes ones…

    plus what is left of the run of blue-eyed Pearls( only a couple males left, the last ones…

    and maybe one pink eyed albino)

    psst.. for the tan baby griffs… think you might do the haloed rosette spots on the heinder? πŸ˜€

    I’d KILL for one with those after seeing it on one of the samples in your gallery. πŸ™‚

    Yay!

    My BG coiled male arrived today from Emerald; he ias really prettier than I had thought. He’s not really shiny, more matte, which makes the colors really pop from the black!

    Thank you Emerald, for your always wonderful job packing, and shipping so quickly! πŸ˜€

    That paintjob is stellar… I had never wanted a SK in the past, but had to bid for that lady…

    wow!

    Are you insane!? How could anyone NOT want an SK!!? πŸ˜€

    We all see dragons in our own way– I like the longer, slender head and jawline. For some reason, the SK looks too.. well, iguana for me. ::shrug::

    I can;t afford many splurges, and when I do, I want it to be something that grabs me and shakes me… and while the face still isn’t one that I can adore like I do, say, the coileds, or the lap dragon, that red hit me just enough to overwhelm any minor quibbles I have over her face. :: grin ::

    Now THAT color I would KILL to see on any other dragon in the Windstone universe! I’d even squeak for it. :: chuckles ::

    I’m in the minority.. *please* not in white… I love color! White wouldn’t fit in with the rest of my draconic horde — and hoenstly I never like how it looks; too washed out, even with hilights.

    I love the cards you did for the Poads… small, easy to prop next to the piece, and pretty as well as amusing.

    And you can even get them foil stamped if you want a superfancy one for a really special edition. πŸ˜€

    ::happy dance:: I just got my lovely ruby oriental sun dragon. I’m not a fan of the ruby dragons, but really wanted a Sun dragon.

    Silly me– had I known that this pretty would be so wonderful a shade of raspberry, and have such deep ruby sparkle belly scales and hilights, I might have gotten him a lot sooner. And he’s got the neatest look on his face that seems to say “hehehe, now off to do some mischief with this orb of mine…”

    I got him from Emerald, who did a superb job os shipping! Thank you so much!

    Any day with a new dragon is a good day!

    I would also love to see the Flions get a update and new color release. I would be very interested in a Flioness (white or black), or maybe even a panther (a Fanther?) πŸ˜† . I think something like that would look awsome with peacock wings.

    OOOO!! Yes, a black leopard with peacock wings, that would be awesome! Especially since my b/f’s animal character is a black leopard. πŸ˜€ You weren’t around in the 50’s, but then black panthers were considered the ultimate in “tacky” decor. There were velvet paintings of them, and things called “TV lights” shaped like black panthers that you put on top of your tv. I adore that stuff!

    one of my neighbors has a coffee table that is a leopard with a glass circle on top. It is exquisitely tacky, and I am tempted to sneak over cat toys to stick in it’s open mouth at every visit, just to see if he’d notice. For Christmas, I DID neak a garland collar on it’s neck. πŸ™‚

    Thank you for joining us Miss Maya! My first Journey stone was “serenity” and was gifted to me by my boyfriend at one of the Renniasance faires we work at. I was going through a rough spot with seperation anxiety from the USMC and had quite a few rage issues. He gave it to me to carry with me and keep me calm in my times of vocanic proportioned outbursts, and she helps me immensely. Thank you for the kindness and inspiration that you pour into your work!

    PS One of our good friends is a dealer of your pieces, Pandora’s Boxes, (who Louis got Serenity from) and she has one piece that keeps falling over at faires, it is the same piece every time too….Ironicaly that one is named “Stand” πŸ˜‰

    ooh how neat– one of the ones that came in the mail yesterday was “serenity”; I’m in love with the way things like that seem to happen in this community. πŸ™‚

    Both Serenity and the new synergy are lovely new additions; I love the calm and peace that seems to radiate from both sernity and healing. Synergy seems to be a happily humming wee pod, a bit different than the other two.

    Ok, it’s not fair… Why does Mel always have to make the really pretty ones ebay auction only? Why can’t the pretty ones be production?? *sigh* Maybe its just me, but the auction windstones always seem so much more beautiful than the production ones πŸ˜₯

    Not being Melody, I can’t be sure, but I’m betting the ones we all think of as “really pretty” are also the ones that are massively time intensive to paint. Having them as production colors would make no sense, costwise, as the time put into making each one would mean a 60 dollar dragon, for example, having to be priced at 100+.

    For the very serious collector, that might not be a problem, but the majority of Windstone purchases (NOT including the OOAK specials) are from casual collectors and those who see something they like either online or in a shop might not be willing to pay that much extra when, to them, EmPea or any of the other lovely production colors out there are just as “really pretty”. And this way, the ones meant for a more ‘serious’ (in this case, seroius meaning someone who is a collector willing to spend above the norm) collector, the ones that cannot be mass produced, are placed on Ebay, where they can earn more for Windstone, and enable them to have money to develop all the new items and colors everone here demands. πŸ˜€
