Sorry for the off topic post.
Hey Maripikka what does your signature mean? And is that Arabic?
إياك وأن يضرب لسانك عنقك
Eeep, sorry for the rather late reply to your question, Pegasi!
Yes, my signature’s indeed Arabic, and it means, literally, “Be aware that your tongue might cut your neck”, which, most likely not all that surprisingly, means that one should be careful of what s/he’s saying. What a terrible person, indeed. One of the few people I’d very much like to define as a monster… I just hope all this will turn out good for your whole family, somehow, and that you’d get rid of such a maggot of a father.
Strenght to you and your family. Even though the scars he has left in your souls will never heal completely and disappear… May the future grant you fortune eternal.purpledoggy wrote:Oh I LOVE Johnny Depp…
Amen to that. He’s pretty much the only show business guy I think is really hot. Though I have to admit I have never had a crush on any show business people… XD I am a very sad person ’cause I usually have crushes on people who aren’t real. Like… characters in books… Sigh…
Well, I am very late… But I still wanted to wish you a happy birthday! I hope it was most wonderful!
I most definitely do not like my strong sense of smell. Mainly because due to it I easily get headache from different kinds of smells…
Ya, she’s rather good… At least worth a try, if not anything else.
And what comes to the author’s popularity… At least not in Finland. 😆 Not too many know her here.
I love the Celtic Hound one! That one kicks some major arse. 8)
Thank you for sharing! Roses are pretty much the only flowers I do like.
Those are stunning, Shandi! I just love how you did those butterfly wings… And all the textures on the foals overall. I think my favorite one is the black foal, and that new blue one with green wings is on the second place of my list!

Other novels written by Tanya Huff as far as I can remember:
Child of the Grove
The Last WizardValor’s Choice
The Better Part of Valor
The Heart of ValorAnd I think I’ve read a short story that was written by her… What Ho Magic! or something.
Well, I say this to everyone, and I’ll say it to you too:
WELCOME TO THE FREAK SHOW! 😀skigod377 wrote:You know, I saw Rambo and it was not bad at all. I thought they were gonna try to make him a sex object and show him with his shirt off all the time, but they didnt. The movie was actually good, though very gory. I would give it a chance if you can stand the gore.
I can stand very extreme gore so that won’t be a problem. But it’s good to know it was actually good… And it’s even better they did not make him run around with his shirt off! I have never liked that aspect of the movies. -__-; I can stand blood and innards anytime but some overly manly (and sweat shiny) muscle is something that gives me the shivers.
I’d choose vegetables, I guess… Though I’d probably get tired of those too in no time. That’s quite normal to me.
Welcome to the freak show! In every episode there’s something new! 8)

Are you a Harrison Ford fan? My mom’s in love w/him. 🙄
My mom loves Harrison Ford too. 😆 Not as much as she loves Richard Gere, though!
Quote:Signs was good, but The Sixth Sense was better. That ending is still about the best I’ve seen yet.
I agree, The Sixth Sense was better than Signs in my opinion as well. Though I didn’t like neither one too much. Signs bored me to death and the only part I liked at least slightly was that Dr. Bimbo crack. The Sixth Sense on the other hand didn’t cause me to nearly fall asleep while watching it, and it proved to be a worthy watch. Still, I would never watch it twice… And I also noticed a couple of things that bothered me greatly afterwards and even to this day I am sure there was at least one huge mistake in the movie.
Quote:New Indiana Jones Movie comming this summer. I’ll be there, I LOVE the Indiana Jones Movies.
A fourth Indiana Jones movie? Are you serious? 😮 Awesomeness, I have to see that one when it comes out here. I just loved the first three when I was a kid! Though when I watched them again some time ago I couldn’t help but laugh through the movies. They are… ridicilous to the extreme at times. But I guess that’s just part of their charm, eh?
Talking about new parts to some well-known movie series… I am kinda looking forward to checking out the new Rambo as well. Just because it’s… Rambo. I have to admit I want to see the movie mainly for the laughs.
Haha, Rambo Stallone should become the next Californian governor after Terminator Arnold.
Ah… Please tolerate with my lame jokes!Otherwise… I haven’t been watching too much movies. I just realized, though, that the latest three movies I have watched have all been wuxia movies. Well, that doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone who knows me and my enthusiasm for Asian movies, especially the Chinese movies of the wuxia genre or Japanese samurai movies. The latest wuxia movie I watched was Fearless, which, in my most humble opinion, was pretty good, though I still find the stunning and artistic Hero better, along with The House of the Flying Daggers.
Oh, to those who wonder what the term wuxia means, I shall give you a short explanation here so it won’t bother you for the rest of the eternity: the term wuxia literally means “martial arts heroes” and it’s a sub-genre of the martial arts genre in general. It’s a mixture of the Chinese honor code, xia, and China’s history in wushu (better known as kung fu). Most wuxia stories, in both cinema and literature, are adventure stories set in the Ancient China in which most (or at least some of the main) characters know martial arts. A very common plot features a young male protagonist who has faced or faces a great tragedy after which he is exposed to extreme hardships and ordeals which eventually allow him to grow as a person and let him reach the ultimate understanding of his way as a warrior. But of course the stories may differ greatly from writer to writer.Eh… Sorry for the long babble. 😀
