Yes, the reason this on is being called an Artists Edition is because we couldn’t name it a test paint due to all the hand-painting work. Maybe Melody could consider doing a similar color scheme as Limited Production, but substitute the hand-painted parts for some airbrushed blue on the wings and dorsal… Kind of a sunset-like color?
That sounds great, but the stripes are as awesome a feature as the combination of colors. Would it be feasible to airbrush a simplified pattern of stripes, kind of like how the bengal markings are offered on the kittens and poads in the store? (don’t know how time-intensive this would be, or how it would look as a result, so I’m just tossing this out as a thought.)

*yelps* I agree! squeek*
Summer would be especially nice, there’s no major holidays then! (Well, July 4th, but it’s otherwise alone.) 😕
That sounds great! Totally missed the Christmas swap, I have an ironic bad habit of ignoring stickied threads…
Sounds like an excellent time to do it, with a good deal of recovery time from Christmas festivities and such.
The list I saw seems excellent. Two things that might be nice are…
A section that inquires as to preferences for handmade arts and crafts,
In the music section, an inquiry as to favorite artistsThen perhaps a double section like…

PM’ed you. 🙂
I only have one picture now, but can take more. I have four tarantulas, two babies, and two juveniles.
Here’s widdle baby Tina (Brachypelma emilia, a cousin of the classic Mexican Red Knee) in the coconut fiber burrow she dug. She molted since this picture, so is a good half centimeter larger now, with some hints of her orange-legged grown up coloring starting to show. She’ll easily have a 5″ legspan when she’s grown up. But they grow sloooowly. 😀
Didn’t hear about your spider Leigha, am sorry she passed away. If you can dig up a link, I’d love to check the thread out.
I found this thread. Don’t know if it ever sold or where it is, but it’s a lead. 😕

And a good man will also tolerate the millions of weird toys for a few hours to get to you <3Awwww…. I have the warm fuzzies now. 😳

But… but they’re so fun to knit tiny booties for! And they do the ‘happy spider dance’ before they eat!
Hee hee hee… Okay, I don’t knit them booties but it sounds funny. They do do the happy spider dance though. 😆 😆 😆

Excellent point! But the umpteen million robotic hamsters also riding in back of Santa’s sleigh may be a little too much for any man. XD
Awesome pics, she’s gorgeous! Congrats! 😀
IMO, they’re okay investments, comparable to quality furniture. Treated well, they hold their value, can be enjoyed for a very long time, and can even be heirlooms. But as investments, they have three catches.
Minor accidental damage wreaks havoc on their value. As mentioned, they’re luxury items, so get sold at a loss in bad times. Then there’s hidden overhead such as paying for shipping, storage, glass cases, etc. So while they can appreciate in value, it can’t be assured.
But if you just buy them because you like them, admire and enjoy them, and incidentally want something that can be sold for a decent percent of its value in an emergency, then you can’t lose.
Well, good jobs, full bellies, kind words, content families, solid roofs, romance, good health, clean garages and world peace are all very worthy and necessary causes. (I’d love a few of these things myself.)
But I’d like to dedicate this thread to the frivolous things that fit under a tree. (Hmm… maybe a nice boyfriend would fit under a tree… may not enjoy the sleigh ride stuffed in back with the windstones and power tools though…)
So…
Dear Santa…
I’ve been ever so good this year. I’ve hugged my doggies, volunteered, tidied all my stuff, and haven’t made the five o clock news, nor have I chased my sister around with bugs or given my folks many more grey hairs.
So I’d like a…
Jet mini lathe,
a Porter Cable Biscuit joiner,
Two (upgraded) tarantula cages
A Sunset Male Griffin and chick,
A chocolate chip cookie,
An (extra) hug,
And to not recieve any strongly scented candlesThere are far more worthy causes out there of course. But I’ll leave the tree lights on for ya! :bye:

But the decisions… what kind of binding? what size? how many pages? what kind of paper?
Agh!This might be juvenile, but I think they’d make a glorious coloring book… 😳
Eeek, that has to be scary. Hope you can figure out what caused it.
On a much lighter note with Margaritas, aim for one with real fruit and not too much syrup. There’s a huge difference between a good one and a bad one. *sends you a mental beach chair to sip it on*
IMO Smokey’s the most handsome member of the Stray Cat Edition I’ve seen yet (actually Stray Cat Edition might make a good name for a band… It’s late over here…)
And I love the deep browns on that griffin! Very pretty.
