You just need/want parents right or do you need baby too? I’ll ask if they will accept orders over the phone and are willing ship things. If they don’t I can go back and get things and then ship them out.
If he truly hasn’t marked them up from when they retired baby kirin was $25, male kirin was $84 and mother kirin was $76. Those are the last prices listed on the pieces at Astral Castle.
ooohh…I like those prices.
And yes I needed the mother and male, have the baby. 🙂

I agree, when they are that knarly maybe a new life (and color) would be better than trying to patch up the old.
See! I want a Koi, but since I have the old Jade, I didn’t want to paint over him, so if asinnamon’s is unsaveable, I’ll do a trade…as long as we can rope in whippet to do the paint job.

I plan on bringing a notepad and my camera. If they let me take pics I will if not I’m note conditions and prices.
Thanks, I really like to get the kirins, but without knowing prices, it is hard to budget.

Arlla wrote:Wow! 0_0 That guy at Natures Treasures really is VERY NICE!
So did you find out how many kirins he has and how much?
I tried to call, but they must be closed.

Send her to Whippet and have her paint him Koi, and then send him to me, and I’ll send you mine.

Very cool, I suggest the interference on the mane…less is more in this case. Besides if the detail swirls cover too much of her, she’ll look busy.

Quote:I think I had this discussion with our copyright attorney and we decided that it is
alright to add stuff like wings to the PYOs. It is implied when you purchase them
that you are going to decorate them. When it gets weird is when the basic sculpture
is modified and my argument is that resculpting the piece is not the same as adding
decoration. Alan said he would research the case law on this and I haven’t heard
back from him but I think we are OK with wings and other added decorations.John
I asked John, and here is his answer…we’re good, we can do wings. Yay!

I have to agree with you, Em. I was very pissed off at the ending! Reading the reviews, it seems either people loved it or hated it. A couple I read talked about how Mr. King was trying to teach us to enjoy the journey and not rush toward the ending. A tip of the hat to that theory, but I still think he could have come up with something better.
Sorry to ask this, but what on earth are you guys refering to? I am guessing something Stephen King wrote, but I have no idea what book.

She said she hadn’t gotten the wolf yet and when she does she’ll compare the two because she was under the impression that THAT was the wolf she was going to be getting. She was familiar with my work but not my name, and she jumped at the chance to own this one. I gave her my Windstone gallery link. We’ll see what happens if and when she gets said wolf.
It doesn’t sound very good, I hope she gets a wolf, but it sounds suspiciously like she won’t.

Don’t feel bad, at least you got more than I did for the dragon I did. After eBay fees I just broke even. I was kinda disappointed since I had 14 watchers, though I suspect most of those were you guys.
Upside, is it did spawn an eBayer to contact me for a commission, so I did end up making a small profit off it anyhow, even if I have to paint two similarly to do it. 😀
I should be getting that dragon in a few days, it will be slightly different from the other Red Gold, but it’s going to be purty…I’ll post pics when he is done.
Anyway, SPark, congrats on selling your kirin, I wouldn’t give up on selling prepainted just yet. Perhaps just start the bidding a little higher.

Think of it this way, Pegasi are flying horses, they need to be smaller so they can fly.
Hence why they are smaller than the unicorns. As long as they are related in size relative to each other, I have no issues with the pegasi, but I don’t care for the rearing one all that much, I prefer the mother, foal and hatching ones the best. The male just seems to be missing something, not sure what.

Oooohh..a green emperor…someone was wanting one, but I don’t remember who.
It’s almost a hidden auction, since the type of dragon and color are both off.

Did you see the price tag? The site said prices range from $400 to $1000…somehow as cute as those frogs are, they are out of my price range, by lots.
I’d rather have a ALSK.

Let’s see, we went out to dinner for sushi, combo husband’s birthday, Mother’s Day, and yay our roommate finally won his SS case after 6 years.
My 5 year old made me this cool little paper flower with petals I can take off with little chores on them, so if I pull off a petal and give it to him, he is supposed to do the chore, I plan to use this on him when he is 10. *grin*
We spent part of Mother’s Day rototilling the garden, we’re half done with it, it’s a really big space.
We also had a funeral to attend later, a dear friend of the family lost his yongest brother unexpectedly. So we attended to give him support during this time.
We also had a BBQ with friends on Saturday. Overall the weekend was pretty nifty, minus the funeral.
Though only my roommate remembered to actually say, “Happy Mother’s Day.” to me. I’ll take what I can get.

I don’t remember. Maybe we discontinued the Oriental before we started the Ruby color?
I’d love to make some Moon dragons, but the casting dept feels differently about it.Let me guess, she’s as hard to cast as the original oriental??
*pout* I still want her, if we squeak loud enough, do you think they would cast her for us??
