Peacock is still here. Had someone yank me around telling me they wanted him only to spend the money on something else and not mention it to me. 😕 I really don’t want to have to relist him on ebay as I pulled the auction once for this person and already have to pay 1x fees and don’t want to add more to that.

$225 shipped to wherever you are, and if you have an OW box you can send I’d happily double box him using that so he’s virtually guaranteed to get there in one piece.

    Serious buyers only, please.

I can patch the claw with some apoxiesculpt and repaint with matching gold windstone paint marker if the buyer wishes.

Emerald is SOLD. Take the Peacock for $225 shipped.

Ack, sure is. Thanks for pointing that out. Doesn’t change the price though.

    First the OW..

He’s in decent shape. Has a chip on the claw that I can fix with apoxiesculpt and matching gold paint – and I may just go ahead and do that now. Does not have his tag, and I don’t have a box for him. However, I have shipped quite a few Windstones and will do my best to package him so he gets to you in one piece, including double boxing. If you have an OW box, you can send that to me and I’m more than happy to use that to double box and send the piece to you. The dust does not come with him, I just wanted to get pics up quickly and will definitely remove that.

    Pictures…

The silver male is factory mint and I do have the box for him. He’ll be double boxed as well.

$200 shipped for the Peacock OW, and $175 shipped for the silver male. Payment via paypal only, and I charge no extra fees. Please EMAIL me to deal, as I rarely visit the forums any more. feathersandlove@gmail.com

Even though everyone forgot my birthday on the 21st, and no one called or sent a Christmas card, I still want to thank you for what I DO have.

This has been a horrible year, and I hope next year can be better. Please?

    Love and Light,

Beautiful card. I wish I’d gotten one, would’ve made my birthday/Christmas.

in reply to: Looking for an artist for a commission #732356

I figure this is the best place to ask, and I hope I’m not breaking any rules by doing so.

I’m looking for an artist to do a special commission for me. I’m a hobby breeder of ball python morphs, and have decided to dedicate a website to that as I have my parrots. Problem is, though my graphics skills are okay, I cannot create what I’m looking for. I can slap some pics together on Photoshop, but I need something more involved. All work must be digital and 100% original.

I need all rights to the final work so it can be used on the site, business cards, maybe some t-shirts someday, who knows what else.. Fee is completely negotiable based on the skill of the artist and the quality of their work. I’m not saying money is no object, but what’s worth it is worth it, right?

The name of the ‘business’ is Magickal Morphs. Tying in my love of the pagan religions and the beautiful colors of the different BP morphs. I’m thinking for the home page, something like a faerie deep in some dark woods, surrounded by fireflies and other magickal creatures. She’s maybe holding a little faintly glowing ball python. I dunno, is that stupid? I also would need a regular logo, to be used in various places, reptile show signs, webpages, link banners, etc.

Please contact me via email using the link in my profile with what you think you can do for me, and what you expect in return. I do not currently have any animals available, but there’s always the possibility of the promise of one on down the road. 😉 A rough sketch would be awesome!

in reply to: What are the downfalls of selling on Ebay? #727688

I want to say it was less than 100 on the feedback. I only have 90, and honestly I guess if everyone I’d bought from or sold to left feedback it’d be much higher. But since it’s totally optional to leave feedback, I never pursured it.

    From Paypal:

    Quote:

Policy for payment holds for eBay items

    ——————————————————————————–

What is a payment hold for eBay items?
It is a hold that PayPal places on a payment you receive for an item you sold on eBay. The amounts held will be shown as “Pending” in your PayPal account. You still have access to all other funds in your PayPal account.

Why are my payments being held?
Payment holds for eBay items are an effort to increase marketplace safety. We hold payments when we suspect a transaction may be risky. Here are the most common instances in which an eBay item payment may be held:

You have been an eBay member for less than 6 months, and you sell an item for more than $100
You have an eBay feedback score of less than 100, and you sell an item for more than $100
You have a buyer dissatisfaction percentage* greater than 5%
You have an average DSR of less than 4.5
You have received fewer than 20 Detailed Seller Ratings in the last 12 months
You are listing your item in a high-risk category such as gift certificates, video games, cell phones, computers, or consumer electronics.

When will PayPal release the hold?
Your funds will be released when one of the following occurs:

The buyer leaves you positive feedback
3 days pass after proof the item was delivered**
21 days pass without a dispute, claim, chargeback, or reversal filed on the transaction

We may hold the funds longer if your buyer files a dispute, claim, chargeback, reversal or has otherwise taken action to dispute the transaction.

Learn more about the PayPal policy for payment holds for eBay items.

    * Buyer dissatisfaction percentage is measured by adding negative events as a percentage of your transactions. Negative events include negative & neutral Feedback, Detailed Seller Ratings scores of 2 or less, and Item Not Received or Significantly Not As Described disputes.

** This applies to US domestic transactions that are shipped by USPS, FedEx, or UPS and either (i) use PayPal shipping labels to ship items or (ii) upload tracking information to PayPal via the transaction details page. If a payment is being held, it will be shown as “Pending” in your PayPal account until it is released.

IMO, even worse is their new policy to protect buyers. If you have less than X amount of positive feedback, or if the item sells for over a hundred bucks paypal holds the money for 21 days. Unless the buyer posts positive feedback, or 3 days after they verify delivery and you enter the tracking details once shipped. So about a week or so to get the cash. I’m all for protecting buyers, but for us little guys who only sell stuff when we absolutely have to, in order to make ends meet – it sucks. I paid over $50 to ship (wow shipping went up!) an OW last week that after all the fees and red tape I actually get to keep a hundred bucks of, and I still don’t have the buyer’s money for him in hand. Four auctions end today, and shipping fees for those have to come out of an already threadbare pocket. Hell, nevermind that the only reason I’m selling these is to pay bills. 🙄

This is my last batch of auctions. I’m never selling on ebay again. It’s just too much trouble.

in reply to: Who's on Neopets? #723744

I agree about them ruining the site. I used to be very active, then just kind of lost interest. I do log in once in a while, to make sure my pets are in the lodge and grab some interest. My main is kachinabetta.

Definitely a great horned owl. We’ve got 3 at the raptor rehab that have been dropping lots of them lately. We save the clean ones and donate them to the tribes nearby for their religious practices.

I hope you’re enjoying. I just saw a news clip about the convention and that just looks like so much FUN! How does one get into being a furry? Any tips, pointers, furry-specific forums for ideas and advice?

Speaking of trucks, I hope the drivers are treating your goodies with care. Tell them extra slow around the curves. 😆

Thank you Jennifer. It’s just nice to know there’s someone else around who feels my pain. 😆
