Haha, thanks, Drag0nfeathers. I understand how hard it is to keep from spouting off, regardless of what side you’re on.
It’s an epic night, and I’m guessing it wouldn’t be fair to quash politics entirely… but if anything gets nasty at all we have to take the threads down. Just letting you guys know.
Please remember to be civil. We might have to take these political threads off if they turn into food fights. 🙂 Unfortunately, the Windstone Forum is not the place to discuss politics (or religion).
Just to head things off at the start, when you post in this thread, please remember to be civil. This is for future posters, by the way. 🙂
We just made history! I, for one, am excited!
Okay… what kind of tools do you guys use to get that amount of detail?? There’s no way in heck you can be using regular kitchen knives… is there?? It seems like those connecting lines are way too thin!!
Wow, you guys. You have some good stories.
So. I just finished the rough draft of my profile after doing the interview on Sunday. If it’s all right with him when it’s done, I might post it. Guess who I profiled? Skip, our new writer, who will be working on some promotional stuff for the site. And guess what? He writes PROFILES for a living!
A very interesting guy, too. He has been all around the continental US on a bicycle, and now has a traveler’s hostel in his basement, which he uses to invite other bicycle travelers to stay in while they’re in town.
I would’ve interviewed my mom, but she’s been interviewed plenty of times, and I already know most things about her. That’s Skip’s job.
Jasmine wrote:I didn’t get peanuts in my last shipment. It was shredded paper. Are we just packing with whatever is on hand right now? 😆
Yes, exactly, haha. The PYO orders are all getting packed with really weird stuff ’cause we haven’t got the right boxes or inserts for them right now. I’ve done a few with shredded paper (not that many, you got lucky!), a few with just bits of foam like Frozen’s, and a few with a mixture of everything. We are trying to recycle packing material from the move as best we can.
On the subject of packing peanuts… I think they taste nasty, but then, the last one I ate was an old-style version.
Also, my brother was attacked by my mom. If you lick them and stick the wet end onto someone’s shirt, it will STICK. He had a peanut happy face on the back of his sweatshirt for about a week, and when he finally started to pull them off, bits were left behind!
It would be a great prank to pull on someone while they’re asleep….
I’m not usually one to gush over teddy bears, but these are beautiful! I love the oriental one. There is something so wonderful about hand-made stuffed animals… they have a certain reality to them that manufactured ones don’t.
Dragon Master wrote:I would say interview your mom about starting a company back in the 80’s and keeping it alive and all the STRANGE fan base she started
Haha, I am considering it. That would be the easy way out, after all–don’t have to make an appointment with someone special, don’t have to stress over talking to a stranger. If I do end up interviewing my mom, I will share it with you guys. Even though you all ought to be sick of her interview after Windstoneradio! Haha, kidding. Maybe I’ll share it with you guys even if I don’t interview her, hehe.
Frozen, I am so tempted to do that. You have no idea. My teacher would deserve it for jumping this assignment on us with so little notice! It’s due Thursday. Gaaah! I hate interviews. This is the second one I’ve had to do this term!
And wow, ddvm. That is amazing. That guy sounds like a real character… I’ve never heard of the Caterpillar Club before, either!
Stephanie wrote:Does this include Maya’s pieces as well? 😀
Absolutely! It applies to everything.
For school, I have to interview someone and write a profile about them. My teacher was giving some examples of people his previous students had interviewed, and some of them sounded pretty amazing. One student apparently went out and asked some homeless dude if he could have an interview–the homeless guy pulled a knife out at first, but he did get the interview in the end. (“Don’t do that,” my teacher said XD ).
Anyway. I was wondering if anyone has any good interview stories?
Also, who is the most interesting/weird/quirky person you know? You don’t have to give names. I just like to hear stories about interesting people. 🙂
Maybe these are strange questions… I’ve been doing homework all afternoon and am a little boggled.
Pizza and beer sound like the perfect accompaniment to Munchkin… Sigh… Someday, I will be old enough for beer! But anyhow, there is just something about that game that definitely calls for a beer. Perhaps it’s the silliness. Speaking of which, thanks for the clarification, ghostndragon. I guess there isn’t a wrong way to play that game!
I didn’t realize Second Life had live chat stuff, but I guess that totally makes sense. Duh. I really don’t know much about Second Life other than that my aunt teaches forgiveness at the Mystical Academy. It’s cool that SL has a lot of RP things, I had no idea.
MOO and MUSH are awesome names for games. They sound pretty neat!

Yes, Tycho has a third (that’s if we count the one that went South on you guys) Freezer Weasle for you.
Quaestion for you – will Giffin’s first girl friend (that we find out about that is) be a Griffin Chick?
OOFFY & Tycho
HAHAHAHAHAhahahahaha!
And if he has more than one, it will be a whole clutch of Griffin Chicks!
The trouble with indoor cats is that they don’t care about anything other than getting outside. Ours sit around all day and meow at the door–sometimes, when they’re really desperate, they’ll jump up and try to push the handle… It’s a bit depressing, really. I believe in indoor-outdoor cats, but at the California house we had to keep ours in because of dogs and coyotes. Now that we’re at the Oregon house, if we let them outside, they go exploring and then come back and beg to be let in again so they can go to the bathroom. XD Our cats are so domestic they can’t even poop outside a litter box.
I play at a board called Clockwork Lullabye. It’s text based RP, so different from what most of you are familiar with, I think? Anyhow, that’s my main passion when it comes to RP, although the boythinger got me into D&D and Dark Heresy, which is based on Warhammer 40k. Tabletop RP is another world entirely, so it’s interesting for me to switch over and realize what STARTED role-playing in the first place…
We’ve also played Munchkin a couple of times. My cousin (BiPolarBear) bought the Cthulu set. I must say it’s pretty hilarious, but I’m still not sure if we’re playing it right, ’cause everyone always ends up a Cultist. Is this supposed to happen?
Yay, another WEASEL POP! Thank Tycho for us. How many do we have now?
