Wow, glad they don’t have that scam where I live. There are a ton of kids that belong to a couple a few blocks away that keep coming to the door with order forms “from school” for a “year end trip fundraiser”. You pay them now and they’ll give you the chocolate, cheese, cookie dough or whatever a couple months later…except everyone in town knows these kids don’t go to school, and you’ll never get what you ordered. The parents just send their little kids out scamming all day.
I had to get nasty with a religious woman that kept coming to my door every week trying to save me. Silly me for trying to politely turn her away the first time…apparently that’s an invitation to try harder next time 🙄
I’m only 22, so I’m not anywhere near ready to have a family yet, but I do know about how my parents decided to start a family. They didn’t have as much money as they would have liked, but they had jobs and an old house they were fixing up, and after three years of marriage they decided that there was no sense in waiting until everything was “perfect” to have a kid, because it would never happen. They just decided to start a family and make everything work out as they went along. Looks like things went ok. I was the first, then my one sister 16 months later and my second sister 3 years after that.
…I keep getting the sense that the fact that all three of us were planned is something of an oddity these days (although Dad did want a boy somewhere in there) 😆
Edit: you can tell exams are near, I get more dyslexic every day

I dream of the day when I have too many to count 😛
I have six. Two PYO little dragons, one PYO Keeper, one PYO wolf, an Em Pea curlie and an Em Pea Fledgie. See, that was easy! 😆
😯 😆
Years and years ago, before I knew what Windstones were, I saw a ton of Male Dragon candles in a shop 🙄
Oh wow! I’ve only ever seen one bald eagle, and that one was fighting an Osprey that always nests in one of the marshes I visit on a regular basis. I have seen a lot of golden eagles, even here in Hamilton while I go to school. There are also tons of red-tail hawks here and a pair of Peregrine Falcons that nest on one of the old gothic buildings on campus. Yes, those things keep the pigeons away! Too bad they can’t do the same with some of the Canada geese….
I’ll try and take picture of them the next time I take a hike.
My room mate and I participated, and apparently up north, in my tiny little home town, almost every house was completely dark. Wish I had been there, that would have been awesome to see.
I like the idea. No, it’s not going to solve anything, but at least it’s making more people aware that they can cut back.
My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel gets terrible allergies this time of year that makes it look like she has a cold. Sneezing, snuffling, runny nose, cloudier eyes (she’s had cataracts since she was 2) and a tendancy to rub her face on the carpets and furniture. She doesn’t eat much while she gets that bad either. By May/June though, she’s back to herself.
Aww Miss Melody, this is extremely kind of you! Especially considering that we should all be sending things to you instead. Thank you for all that you do for us! 😀
March 25, 2008 at 2:02 pm in reply to: person has gargoyle pic- sells jewelry?on all adds?(john) #681593I also recognize the picture of the dark-haired woman dancing. That’s the dance of Luthien Tinuviel, I’ve seen the picture on Elfwood I believe. I bet she doesn’t have permission for that either 😕
The Fledgie really looks like a spring garden, at least the ones I’m familiar with. Just when the first purple flowers and a few leaves are peaking out of the snow. And I can’t wait to see the coiled mom!!
That’s a perfect fortune! I’m jealous of all the pieces you have to paint, not that I would have time to paint any of them if they were here. My poor little dragon has been half-painted for weeks
Wow, the two of them look amazing together! Congrats Frozen 😯
Good luck with your new job Karen! 😀
